If you are a VSAT installer, field technician, or engineer or operations center tech supporting GEO satellite networks, you should complete the approproate GVF Training courses and attain your Basic or Advanced Satcom Professional, Field Technician, or Field Engineer certifications.

Even if your satellite terminal is fully automatic, you must give it a clear line of sight! Less-automated equipment needs additional skills such as accurate pointing, cross-pol alignment, and bringing up carriers. All these skills are taught in the GVF 530-531-532 course series, which include advanced simulators for practice and skills assessment.
