Why do we BIKEPACK? | On the Bike with the Pack | Monumental Loop
Переглядів 214Рік тому
Why do people bikepack? Because it’s the best. Mehedi and I pedaled the Monumental Loop in southern New Mexico near the end of January 2023. I brought heavy camera stuff, and interviewed Mehedi afterward. Not shown in video: cowboy camping in subfreezing temps, javelina hallucinations (still sure they are real), one of our bikes flying off the car on the freeway on the way down there, stuff lik...
Fly Above The New York City Subway Without Leaving Home - 4K DRONE
Переглядів 1,5 тис.3 роки тому
I think the subway is pretty damn fascinating. Call me crazy. It’s one of those things we all love to hate. It’s a physical and tangible urban phenomenon that has somehow existed for over 116 years now. It gets us places. It’s also a never-ending source of metaphor. It’s literally a canvas for art, and a form of structural art in and of itself. It’s the intersection of private and public space....
S-we:gĭ Li:li:stoñ - O'odham Pilgrimage to Ma:lina
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
This was created in October 2019, as a way to share one of many important reasons and ways that O'odham cross the US Mexico border. Each year, during the feast of St. Francis, hundreds of O'odham make pilgrimage by car or foot as acts of faith to what O'odham call Ma:lina/Magdalena, Mexico. It also was a way to document the lands along the US Mexico border before it changed in the wake of the c...
The New York City Skyline - 4K Aerial Footage of NYC
Переглядів 60 тис.3 роки тому
The skyline of a city is its public face. It's recognizable at a glance, and it tells a story. And like a human face, the skyline changes and evolves with the passage of time. The New York City skyline, though, is on some Benjamin Button stuff, getting younger and more modern by the minute. Video by Nate Reininga Music Credit: "Desire" by Paolo Andriotti (Telecinesound)
Sun Cupped Chunder Bucket (Learn To Ski More Better and Be More Happy)
Переглядів 523 роки тому
Filmed in a few short days at the Santa Fe Ski Basin in February of 2019, this short film is an attempt at capturing the indescribable feeling of floating down a snowy mountain with two pieces of plexiglass strapped to your feet. "Sun cupping happens in the spring. It looks like someone took an ice cream scooper to the top of the snowpack. Chunder bucket is like a zone where the snow sucks and ...

My Ga'ga'ah was the Late Maria Escalate Mattia , from Sonoyta. Looking for any of her descendants. I've almost come close to meeting some near Lukeville.. Dangerous for me to explore alone at the time .. Would like to know or find any history of her family . She was about 14 or 15 when she came to start raing a family in Menagers Dam, TO Nation.

I don't get it, Mexico was Mexico since the beginning, Arizona was Mexico too. I'm confused, cause the people mixed with Mexicans too. Mexicans are Native. ❤🙏🏽 They're even Catholic so they're just blessed to still have their tribe ! 🙏🏽 We look the same. 🥰 Blessings to the people, beautiful. ❤ This is why Mexico is good to them, they're our cousins. 🥰

Before the lands were named the US or Mexico, this was all one land divided by tribes of people that arrived some 30,000 years ago from the Asian continent. Europeans came along 500 years ago & colonized. Those from Catholic nations allowed for White Europeans to marry with the natives to convert them. Usually it was White men marrying or having children w/ indigenous women. Believe me that the Colonizers did everything in their power to convert natives & strip them of their traditions, customs & spirituality. Then the Colonizers started to divide the lands by borders, states & counties, so tribes were divided. This is what happened to the Tohono O'odham. My family is on the Sonora, Mexico side.
