I'm surprised that after a very beautiful speech as this from the MP about the mental health scheme, up to now on this channel, no one has yet commented anything. I questioned myself, why? Not even a word of appreciation! I even doubt if somewone watches this! HOWEVER, it's clear, Its poverty that is ravaging our dear people. Many of our people from Agago are poor. They don't have access to better services. They have no Internet services, few people have smart phones, there is poor network in most places. Just an example; Once I went to visit a place called LABWOROMOR-PIKI IN LOMOI-PARISH OMIYA-PACWA SUBCOUNTY, AGAGO DISTRICT, I COULD NOT MAKE ANY CALL THAT WOULD LAST FOR AS LONG AS A SINGLE MINUTE. I WAS PERTURBED BECAUSE I WAS TREATING AN URGENT ISSUE. After my research, i concluded that this is the situation in most of the peripheries in Agago District. Leaders you need to lobby for the development of your territories. When one has an office,one has the power to do good. So I encourage our Leaders not to sit on their powers because people have entrusted them to you by electing you so that you can reign. Use them to improve at least the basic needs of your people. I would be happy to hear that places like Labworomor -Piki has clean drinking water, good network coverage, good class rooms, health services, etc. Good luck!

People in Northern Uganda need to be supported to have permanent houses that can resist weather changes. Many people here have these traditional limping grass thatched houses, which can easily be brought down by any bad weather conditions. So this indeed is an emergency which the people alone may not be able to solve sin they're have limited resources. It's a call to those who can heed the voice of the MP and help the people. Blessed are the hands that give!!!

Thank MP for raising this concern, its quite unfortunate. I suggest we need to think of reallocation to another free flooding areas if the has history of flooding. Government aids may take years n years to come.
