Tracking Beats is cool . This track has a bit of an 1980's feel about it . I love the 80's, the music always inspires me.
Thought it would be nice to drum in the garden today ..

I love the natural acoustic sound of drums being played outdoors. I don't get to do it very much, so when I get the inclination to go outside and play I just do it!

This sweeping motion, right hand swings back and forth from your ride cymbal to the snare as your left hand comes off the hi hat and plays the snare drum . You may use this concept any way you chose in different musical situations.
All the wrong places ..

I can remember countless times when I found myself in a certain situation, either at work, on a date, a party etc. felt like I had no business being their at all. A song for one of my favorite artist drummer Tony Allan creator of Afro Beat along side Fela Kuti

Yeah, nice quite celebration , Happy New Year .
Great lesson! High hat is crisp, what are they?
Those are 14 inch Zildjian New Beat hi hats, they were very popular in the 1980's.

Nice! I had a book by Joel Rothman called Soul on bass which is pretty much what your doing now! Might have to dig it out now!
Cool dude! I don't know that particular book I do have 3 of his instructional books very straight forward he covers alot of aspects of drumming an amazing instructor . Hope your summer is going well ..
@@MICHAELLATTANZIO-jz9hc Yeah my first teacher used his books. I love Summer! The long days and its light out till almost 9! I hate the dark winter days and nights!
Back when I had hair! LOL!
I miss my hair and the 80's things were some how different back then ...
@@MICHAELLATTANZIO-jz9hcYeah man Simler times when evryone was taking their reso heads off! Big thuddy Clem Burke sound! I still remember you brought the white Premeir kit with the blue Evans Hydraulic heads to one of the spring concerts and they sounded absolutely killa!
NICE!!
That's awesome
amazing!
The snare sounds like a slap , really tasty with the hih hat fills
It looks Murder By Numbers by The Police! Great groove!
"Promo sm" 😝
Sometimes the universe just likes to show you that it can be a part of the music too
Divine intervention ..
The stick drop sounded like its part of the beat
I think your right Isaan, you have good ears ..
Bro maybe dropped the stick like a chump 💀 But held the beat like a king 👑
Thank you Chase I appreciate that,, your one hell of a Tech ..
good stuff. keeping it simple is super underrated nowadays. take someone like johnathon moffett - plays super simple stuff but he’s so tight w it that he drummed for mf michael jackson.
So true, I get inspired watching Steve Jordan ,, those guy's just pull you in ..
Yeah man! Love changing stuff up makes everything fresh again!
Yes, you know that !
FAT Funky Groove! Hey man got the SJP reunion on April 13 would love to get together if your gonna be around that day!

Thanks for the comment Charlie, We Love Gadd ...
@@Mikeluvdrums Indeed we do!
Groove is in the heart! Hey, Paiste now?
I think that bass line was used on a whole lotta tracks in the day, You noticed the Paiste ride cymbal , pulled it out of the bag, dusted it off, nice tone .
@@Mikeluvdrums YUP! I had a 24" Giant beat that was awesome but way too big wouldnt fit in my cymbal bag! The thing is the old Zildjians weren't that consistent you could hit 5 of the same size and they'd all vary a little the new Zildjians are more like Paiste now some of that mojo is gone in my opinion
The Giant beat series are still legendary, wish I had one, I know what you mean paiste I thought always cut thru amplification and kept that tone. There is something about Zildjians like they balance well with the drums volume, tone wise. Can't explain it, you know what I mean . @@charliecontrino1626

When I think of "Don't bring me down" I think of ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Accordingly, I was disappointed when I heard this beat here.
