@@sevdinilten There is also a cabin sound here. It's a mix of both. However, if I left only the cabin sound, you wouldn't be able to hear the engine at all. Check out my first couple of videos if you want to hear how bad the audio is from the cabin only.

@@Bemfa_ the gap between you and the e36 is very big, well i suggest you do a drag race between your car and the e36 to see how much is the difference between the 2 cars

@@northernmaten7676 Well, the e36 has a shorter final drive, it’s about 200kg lighter, better flowing intake and exhaust, some minor ecu adjustments for better power delivery and so on. Plus as you can see I was granny shiftin’ not double clutchin’ like I should.. 🤣

@@Bemfa_ e36 is not 200kg lighter i own 2 e46 and 3 e36 i compared e36 328 and e46 328 weight the difference was 85kg and many people on e46 fanatics did scale these cars and came with weights close to mine so people who thinks e36 are 200kg lighter than e46 dont know shit

My E46 is around 1470 kg. He weighed his E36 before the swap, and it was exactly 1234 kg. It's a bit heavier now because of the engine, but it also has a sunroof delete (-17 kg) and a lightweight bucket driver's seat. So, I can tell you for sure that there is still around a 200 kg difference, if not more.

Glad you asked that! I actually reset my average consumption before recording this video. When I checked it at the top, it showed 16.6 liters per 100 kilometers.

@@Bemfa_ She was definitely thirsty hahahaha. Is this way of checking the consumption accurate? I've found that on-board computers can sometimes give smaller numbers than the actual ones.

I would say it shows more fuel consumption than it actually uses because it also accounts for idling when stopped, which can accumulate over time. However, that's typical for daily driving. I'm not sure if that’s the case for this type of driving tho… I would have to conduct a test haha

@@Bemfa_ I agree that this is pretty good mpg for daily driving. I own 318i with 143 hp and it gives me around 17-18 l/100km when I'm doing city driving.

@@VladiIliev Well for daily driving I get 9.5l/100km (I mostly drive on open roads). This video is an extreme case and obviously I don’t drive like that everyday 😆

Haha, of course it does! This is a stock 300Ci with just lowering springs, and it weighs about 500 kilos more than your Miata. 😄 There’s really no comparison between these two cars. But for what it is, it handles incredibly well.

@@Bemfa_ To be fair your BMW looks a whole lot more comfy than my Miata lol. Geting old enough that is starting to be rather appealing. So I hear horror stories about the E46 issues but if you take care of the cooling system are they reliable enough for long trips?

​@@HarveyFunkensteinI've owned 2 e46s, they are absolutely fantastic cars, and the horror stories you hear are pretty blown out of proportion. These cars are getting pretty old now, they will need some work, but are more reliable than many of the other cars I've owned

Yes, I know. This is the shortest possible throw. If it were just 1mm lower, it would hit the driveshaft. It sucks, I would like to have it just a little bit shorter, but it's impossible to do so. There are some kits available like Rogue Engineering, that raise the pivot point of the shifter, but they tend to be quite expensive.

Yeah haha probably, but I’d rather not get into all that polishing stuff at all since that’s a skill of its own and takes a lot of experience to master. I also didn’t want to pay for a professional detail because the paint is not mint. I just tried it by hand and was really impressed by the results, so I decided to make a video on it for anyone who is unsure if it really works. 😆

Thanks! Yes after that I tried waxing but it just didn’t work. The wax didn’t want to fully come off after wiping it and it looked smudgy. Perhaps because it’s single stage paint?
