It’s your hair, but if you go by the Types of hair, your hair is definitely Type 3A bordering Type 3B. I can see you have ringlets. I do as well and my hair is curly and is Type 3A/3B.

I will say, your hair is curly, not wavy. Because my hair is Type 3A/3B and yours looks like that too.

If I use praying hands, the wet curl clumps become straight. And I think my hair is too long for squish to condish. It gets stringy.

Unpopular opinion: wavy hair is a form of curls!!! It is a curl type. Therefore, it’s curly. Also this girl DEFINITELY has curly hair they’re just not super duper tight curls. I would not say wavy at all. A lot of girls even with tight curls look like they have hardly any curls when they’re brushing their soaking wet hair since the water is weighing down on it so much.

I really don’t get the obsession of some people with classifying others curls-waves-texture, honestly I don’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I have like 10 different patterns in my head. I watch curly content because I might learn something and apply it. Besides of every one’s comment about type being entirely pointless, frankly nobody is asking for your diagnosis, creators literally put this content out to share their tips, techniques and knowledge.

Have you tried Innersense I create curl memory gelee? I have been playing around with it recently on my 3b curls and it has some seriously strong hold.
