Hi, I’m Amy; a mixed media portrait artist and journal maker. Join me weekly as I practice acrylic painting, collage, and writing to get to know myself better. I keep art journals to playfully record my life experience and to connect to my truest nature. I hope that one day, my children will read them and understand me on a deeper level too.

so so good. i wanna learn portraits to do stuff like this. but im having a v difficult subconscious pushback against this. i feel paralyzed, so i went back to practicing drawing flowers. but i really wanna be able to do simple portraits (this one is not simple by any means)
@@SJ-dl6uc I have went through seasons of giving up portraits. I think it’s normal. I still take breaks from them and come back when it feels right. ❤️
