My child has been out since 1st grade . He is now back at school and is in 5th, this program was offered. My fingers are crossed that it helps him. He doesn’t have a behavior problem he has dyslexia and dysgraphia after no one wanted to help. I researched and got him help online . He has been Homeschooled until now . I’m praying this helps . We hired a specialist online to work with him from the time we pulled him out until now.

The content tests are extremely difficult and misnamed. Despite being labeled as "content tests," they contain very few questions about the actual subject area. For example, in a 100-question history test, there are probably only about 5 actual history questions. Instead, most questions ask the test-taker, who likely hasn't taught for long, to identify the best strategy for a given situation. How is someone supposed to know this without extensive teaching experience? Furthermore, the test is highly political, with language that is designed to push a particular agenda. The questions are unnecessarily long and complicated, using terminology that is irrelevant for new teachers who haven't yet done student teaching. I’d like anyone at ISBE to read these questions and answer them. Funny thing…they couldn’t, so why are they implementing this? This reflects how out of touch the Illinois government is, especially given the current teacher shortage and especially this poor economy, which a majority of people are barely hanging on (thanks Biden). Kamala won’t be any better. Probably the same or worse. They're blocking great potential teachers from entering the field because of these overpriced, overly complicated tests that cost $125 each. What a joke! Overall, it’s an overqualified test for an underqualified position with terrible pay. Instead of helping schools get quality teachers, the system seems more focused on profit and pushing their leftist agenda than on solving the real problems facing education (and other problems) today. It’s time to raise teacher pay and fix this broken testing system. IL government isn’t doing all they can either. It just keeps getting worse and worse. What can you expect from corrupt and lazy politicians. Absolutely nothing.
