Lefty Loosey Garage
Приєднався 29 лип 2023
I like to keep my projects simple. I finally just built my dream garage and plan to start making videos often. I have some neat projects coming up and excited to share them with everyone. Always remember, your car is yours. Other people’s opinions don’t matter because it’s about your joy, not theirs. Keep wrenching.

Hello, I was analyzed your YT channel and I saw that in your channel have some problems, that's why your channel is not growing. Your videos is not reaching to targeted people, not getting engagement. Do you want to know these problems? If you can give me permission I can tell here, . Where Can I tell? here or email? Anywhere I can tell if you give me permission. If you want to know, if you want to go so far with your channel. where? twitter, fb, ig etc.. where can I tell? If you want to know. As your wish||||"":"?
Sheeeesh man! Lookin clean🔥 definitely dropping a follow for this🙌🏼
Thank you. Should be done soon. Then after this car I can start on my 63 falcon sprint.
@@LeftyLooseyGarageyes!! I was hoping the falcon would be next! ✌️
Doesn't matter with speakers
@@Han-hp3se it will set the speaker out of phase with the rest. The rest will be going up and down while this one will be going down and up.
Be cognizant of camera placement. We pretty much could see nothing but the back of your hands. You’ll learn. Cheers!
@@Trvlrxxx It was my first video, Everything has changed since then. Thank you for the input though. Anything helps.
Holy crap!!
I always learn the hard way. 😂
@@LeftyLooseyGarage it’s just one of those things you really don’t even think about. At least it didn’t cost you a new windshield.
@@dm7097 or a garage. Lol. It was sitting up against my garage. How’s the car coming Dave?
@@LeftyLooseyGarage slow as of late (a-lot of family things happening), but I’m close to installing carpet and being able to finish the interior. 🤞 I’m glad you didn’t have damage to your garage!
@@dm7097 family comes first. I have been slowly getting stuff done myself.
That’s going to look great when it’s all together!
@@thejunkyarddrifter it’s so close, I was supposed to be all done and driving it but life comes first. Thank you for the comment. 😁
I have a 66 as well
@@claysherman2138 nice!!! What state are you from?
I was replacing the struts on my ‘93 Lx, when it came time to install the top mounting nut, I couldn’t find it anywhere. Even went to the auto parts store (like that was going to work), came home and found the nut under a towel that I was using for my knees. Smh
😂😂😂 I can’t tell you haw many times I do that.
Oh dear... Vinyl wrapping over bare metal... That's like BEGGING for your car to rust.
@@donovangibson7765 where is the bare metal??? Not really sure what you are seeing but there is no bare metal showing anywhere on this car.
@@LeftyLooseyGarage the silver areas look like bare metal on the video. Could just be grey primer but the color doesn't come through well.
@@donovangibson7765 oh on the fender? That’s not prepped yet. Lol. I will be putting a bonding primer over it and then I buff it to get it a better surface to stick to. You are right though, never install vinyl on metal.
@@LeftyLooseyGarage glad to hear you're aware and not following along with so many unfortunate classic car owner's bad decisions! I wish you the best on the rest of the prep and wrap
@@donovangibson7765 thank you. My son does vinyl professionally so I lucked out. 😂. I see some videos of people “giving it a try” and I cringe just knowing some issues my son had. Some stuff I leave to the pros. 😂
Just wondering what general part of New York are you in? I’m just north of Buffalo myself. I’m Dave 👋
@@dm7097 I’m in Plattsburgh. As far upstate as you can get. 😂
@@LeftyLooseyGarage ahh very nice!!
@@dm7097 I have been to Buffalo twice. It’s about a 6 hour drive doing the speed limit. 😂

Nice idea with the double sided tape.
Thanks, if it doesn’t stick then I will try Velcro. Trial and error. 😁
What we have here is straight 100% American automobile art at its absolute finest
Absolutely.
👍
Either one would be very cool (and I’ll be “along for the ride”), I would think the falcon sprint would be a little more rare (ie don’t see too many of them on the roads), so I think my vote would be for the falcon. 👍
I appreciate your views and conversations. Thank you for your support. 😁
Holy damn some nice cars and choices, depending on what your going to want to do, if you want just like a restored driver the 63, but if you want a fast, snappy, quick, sleek, beauty, that 86 sounds real good
I’m having a hard time deciding. 😂 once my 66 mustang is done that will free up my shop for one of these. I can’t wait. Lol
@@LeftyLooseyGaragewell I will say, if you want to do a big block, the 63, but if you want small block or like I said a more fun speedy car, I would do the 86 first, but it doesn’t really matter because you can’t do one of them but then never do the other
@@455sBuickOldsPontiac 😂 for sure.
Ohhh my goodness!!! I know I may be (just slightly) biased, but that black vinyl top looks AMAZING!!
Such an amazing car. Glad they brought it to Carlisle.
@@LeftyLooseyGarage I love hearing stories of a car that’s been with one owner/family the entire time.
@@dm7097 absolutely. That car is 100% loved.
Hey dude how is the car running with the intake over time now ?
The car runs and sounds great. This intake is stock bore size and runs on the stock map sensor.
What is that yellow wire used for?
At the moment I’m not sure. I have done some research and video watching and no one really addresses it or talks about it. The directions for that one wire also don’t make sense. It runs off of the stock bulb socket and a restriction relay. The relay replaces the stock one to lower the voltage going to the led lights.
“Simple as that” lol every time I say anything to that effect, it proves me wrong. Lol
😂😂😂 so much sarcasm in my voice.
Love it man
Thank you, I have a lot of time in this car. 😁
Nice car 👍👍👍👍
Thank you, I have a lot of time in this car. 😁
I'm in love 😊😊😊
Beautiful looking there now
I was a desk clerk at a hotel, the old guys said that they pranked the night shift people by stealing their shoes ( workers who fell asleep i.e. security, janitors etc) and not saying anything. Or tying together shoe laces.
Wow!!! That red with gold top is 🔥!! 🤤
They are amazing to see in person.
Chester Cheetah, 17’-2”
Chester Cheetah, 15’-7”
So these housings aren’t side specific , nor do they have a top or bottom, am I correct in thinking that? It has been a while since I’ve looked at mine, and I didn’t take them out.
They are side specific and there is a top and a bottom. I made sure to place them in the trunk on the sides they came out. With my dyslexia I would have been lost without doing that. 😂
@@LeftyLooseyGarage aww crap!! Do you know if there is a way to determine sides and top vs bottom? My original ones have some corrosion on the trunk side, which I would assume, would be on the bottom, but, I would have to study them to see left vs right. Are there markings on the housings?
The bottom will be flat and the light socket will be closest to the side of the car. Check out the thumbnail picture it will give you a better visual. 😁
@@LeftyLooseyGarage I gonna have to dig them out and take a close look. Thank you for the info
Not a problem at all. I’m here to help.

I just watched this video yesterday, went home and checked mine, and found it to be in the same condition as yours. Something that wasn’t even on my radar. I had to place an order anyways, so that gasket went on the cart. Thank you for this information. 🤜
I kept finding water in my gas and this was the culprit. I’m so glad it helped you out. 😁
Very nice!! I just installed my front and rear glass this past weekend! That lower lip at the corners of the rear glass was a pain for me.
I had a really hard time with both of them also. If you look closely you can see me stop and think about all my bad decisions in life. 😂
Some people hate those years of mustangs, I actually think they are pretty cool. After all, they are the cars that kept the mustang name alive and gave it the reputation of the longest, continuous running, “pony car” brand. 👍
Absolutely. I’m a car guy so I respect all of them. Each car at a show has an owner who loves it.
Would it have been possible to elongate the holes in the base so the the pad could have slid over a bit?
It’s possible, but I’m probably going to end up replacing soon.
@@LeftyLooseyGarage was it an aftermarket piece? Just curious, cause I bought new ones for my ‘66, and now I’m wondering if I’ll have the same issue.
What brand name did you buy? These I believe are aftermarket. The car was restored in 1991 when the aftermarket stuff was not the best.
It’s been so long, I honestly don’t remember! lol It’s going to be one of those “wait and see” type of things, I’m almost to that point in my journey. ✌️
I hear you there. The door panels I’m putting in are going to be one of those parts for me. I’m not sure what is going to happen there. Lol. I will make sure to do a video on it.
Nice 302 Super cobra very radical late 70's vibe
If the gas crisis and the emissions standards, this Super cobra possibly would have been a 7liter Super cobra
So many different cars to see. Something like 3400 cars. This one caught my eye.
Mustangs and Alice and chains hell yeah
Only way to cruise 😁

Hagerty has a video on this car at a storage facility. Great story.
I will have to check that out. Thanks for the info. 😁

Cool fact, number 01 is kept by Saleen every year. I used to run a performance center of the only Saleen dealer in New York State and our Rep at Saleen was Steve's son Sean and his brother Clint occasionally. They said 01 is kept every year for Steve or their collection.
Thanks for that info. 😁
I'm glad it stayed a concept. The 1964 Mustang was much better looking.
