Hi, Dave. Thanks for the kind words. I fell in love with the PP&M version and always wanted to record it. So glad I got the chance. Paul Stookey told me he really enjoyed my version. The alto solo was by Jerry Toth, not Terry Kath. Jerry was a member of the Boss Brass and did the arrangements for most of my album [except for Whatshername and Some Other Time; both by Bert Carriere.] Cheers!

Actually, yes I am. You may be thinking of the Scott Walker of the Walker Brothers and, you are correct, I'm not the same person. But my real name is Scott Walker and I have been recording under that name for many many years.

@@scottwalker895 apologies for my mistake. Was looking for HIS version of "I Get Along Without You" (a long lost outtake) ..... Just a thought but, even though it's your real name, err ... did it ever enter your head to change it ? I mean, ya must get it all the time ?

@@johncollingwood7889 No worries, John. I didn't realize that Scott Engel [his real name] had recorded it, too. I do get questions about it from time to time; mainly from folks in the UK. The thing is, he was never well known in North America. My performing and recording career was well underway by the time I found out about him. Cheers, Scott

Hi, John. No, he got started way before me. I was mid-Seventies. I just meant that, by the time I found out about his solo career, through British relatives of my wife, my career was already well underway and I had already released the recording you listened to. No touring plans anywhere at the moment. If I were ever to tour the UK, there would have to be some concessions to his memory. Cheers, Scott

Thank you, Mia. I'm so glad you like it. It was originally a Peter, Paul & Mary song on their Album 1700. The first time I heard it, I knew I wanted to record it with an orchestra. My thanks to my friend Bert Carriere for his beautiful arrangement; to the great Ed Bickert for his superb guitar work; and the equally great Jerry Toth for his haunting saxophone.

Well, actually, I AM the real Scott Walker. It's really my name. Scott Engel, who became Scott Walker and a star in England, was never big in North America, although the Walker Brothers were known here in the Sixties. I only found out about him after I started recording.

Hi, Nancy. Sorry to tell you that I'm not the Scott Walker of the Walker Brothers. As I think you know, he died a few years ago and I'm still going strong. Well, maybe not strong strong, but still going. Not ready for the angelical solo spot yet.

You do have a great voice. Did you also write this song.? I'm so glad you are alive and well. Have you listened to Walker Brothers. They were fabulous but both Scott and now John have passed. I saw video of Johnny Walker singing on tour before he passed. Both had cancer. You keep singing Scott and bless you for many many more years and hits. Again sorry. 🎶❣🎶
