Yes, Angelica is heading for Broadway to star in a new musical by David Foster and Jerry Mitchell, scheduled to open in April. The show had an off-Broadway tryout in Chicago in November/December after a workshop in NYC starting in September. That is one of the reasons Angelica did so few covers during the final months of last year. There are a few short videos with some clips of Angelica and one video on her coach's UA-cam channel that has her entire solo number "Portrait of Betty." She sings a duet with Betty, a trio with Betty and her brother (Betty's boyfriend), a quartet with Betty and Betty's Grampy and his girlfriend, and one with the entire ensemble (5 songs total). Most reviews praised both her singing and acting and a few even said she should get a Tony nomination. Breaking the law in Japan by recording a performance at a concert when you're not officially authorized to do so is the problem. Band Maid's record company is fully justified here. There are plenty of reasons others have addressed here, regarding why, legally, they had to kill the bootleg. The song is supposed to be on Band Maid's next album. The copyright was not yet registered, so the song could have been stolen (and technically WAS). While there were no ill intentions, and reactors just want to be fans and junior promoters, the video was not theirs to use, and should never have been recorded.
