The Great Treffgarne Mountain...... Can it truly live up to its name? Located to the North of the County Town Haverfordwest alongside the main road linking The mentioned with Fishguard (A40) This walk was not the most direct of routes to "The summit" however we feel it did build gradually and it also proved to be a bit of a hit with Riley (Horses,Sheep and Rabbits) I apologise now as I refer to...

Plumstone mountain is located North of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire toward Hayscastle Cross. The surrounding area provides multiple walking routes in all directions, I headed west from the summit ...

I love this walk. Have done it twice in 2024, clockwise, albeit starting and finishing at the Kete parking lot. Many thanks for the recommendation. BTW, at 9:27, if you were to launch your drone at that point, you might spot an enormous face in the cliffs, complete with a slanted cap and goatee beard in the cliffs. It's only visible from above.
Thanks for sharing. Love Caldey, it’s a great day trip from Tenby on the boat.
Off topic, how did you discover Equal Raz, the music you got playing in the background.
I am looking forward to doing this walk on Saturday .This is the first video that I have watched and thought it was great especially will the extra views provided by the drone
How did the walk go?
@@TheDevineOutdoors The walk was really good. I did different part of Dale to you though parking at Martins Haven taking in Dead Mans Bay ,past Gateholm Island ,Marloes Sands and back to Martins Haven overlooking Skomer Island
Absolutely brilliant channel I've subbed, I'm in Johnston so maybe catch you out on the hills one day 😉
you never know mate thankyou for the sub and I promise 2023 will be a full on year of adventures
Awesome video! Tried this route last week but it was way to boggy and all the cloud poored in so i abandoned it sadly
it's a beautiful walk one which I could repeat over and over the freedom and clarity it gives is incredible ... hard going at times with the wrong weather
Nice one Dan
Cheers Rhodri
Have you thought about wild camp in Pembrokeshire
Great walk, beautiful sunset. Thank you for sharing and wishing you a lovely weekend
Thankyou for your words
Great video mate, looks epic up at the top of Carn Llidi. We should be going that way this weekend! Is there a path straight up from the car park to get to Carn Llidi?
Apologies for the delay in responding, if you park at the beach and head out onto St.Davids head carn Llidi overlooks the headland you can't go far wrong if you head toward it there are multiple options but the path is pretty well worn in
@@TheDevineOutdoors Thanks mate. We will check it out next time we are there
Great video, New sub!
Thankyou

Fantastic video hoping to do this walk in next couple of days
It's a great walk ... definitely one of the more strenuous ones I've done on the coast path but totally worth it 👌
Well done! Wonderful video. Amazing sunset. Beautiful mountains. New follower here. Crow✌️
Thank-you for the comment Crow ... There will be new content soon ... just having a few weeks off👌
The sunset was magic brother. That's all we need in any one day with a spot of history to remind us of our journey. Lovely evening out. Mark
Cheers Mark .... its too hot presently to spend anytime walking at the moment 😫
Wonderful
Thank-you apologies for the delayed response , I didn't realise you had commented
Looks like a cracking sunset, Loved the photos! Foel Eryr was such a cool place to visit on the golden road walk
It's often overlooked as it's so accessible
I did wonder where your vlog was last week as I thoroughly enjoy my weekly virtual trip to Wales, sorry to hear about your technical glitch, such a shame you lost all your footage. Great vid this week with some beautiful images.
Thank-you and my sincere apologies for no post last week fortunately there was only 2 videos left to upload so will have to revisit them over the next week or so
What’s that shirt it should be Man City
Not a chance 🤣🤣
@@TheDevineOutdoors hahahah
One of my favourites, aside from all the steps! Pointz Castle Ice Cream is honestly THE best ice cream I've ever had!
It's much easier to just drive there and enjoy one or two ....walking those steps knowing where your heading and what your going to get is equally as enjoyable
good vid dan, i remember that walk as being on of the longest 5 miles ive done , is it 5 miles as the crow flies ?
I tracked it on GPS and it came up as just over 5 to the lime kilns in the harbour ... it definitely feels further but I put that down to the elevation
Another great vid as always, can't wait to see you checking out the caves with your paddle board that will be fantastic 😊. I'm watching from Bampton in Oxforshire, just on the edge of the cotswolds 😀😀
Cracking walk that, love all the steps....not. Nice video again, thanks.
Thank you for watching John those steps definitely make you appreciate the views lol
You'll definitely be getting a good workout with all those steps😀
@@flowerpie most definitely had a good cardio session walking or infact climbing them would be a better way of describing them 😆
@@TheDevineOutdoors like you say though, makes you totally appreciate all the stunning views even more😀😀, well done you👍👍
Always look for the positive
Love that you always add points of local and historical interest as you're walking around, really gives the vlogs something extra and I just love learning new things me 😊. Looks like a beautiful walk.
Thank you.... its an absolute beauty of a walk and the views on a good day far out way any effort
Another one of my favourite walks. Love the 5 mile route up from Rosebush back down the other side looping back to Rosebush. Thanks for publicising this one. It's an absolute must if you're in the area. Great video again.
Cheers John it's also one of my go to routes when you just need to get out into the great outdoors
Ah is that how long is it 5miles, I was wanting to know how far and roughly how long the walk was?
@@BubbleManna yeah roughly 5 mile. I went from Rosebush (Tafarn Sinc) to the main road, turned left and went up the track about 100 yards up on the left. That track goes straight to the top.
Been to Tenby several times and we're heading back next year again. Never been to Caldey Island but after seeing your vid will definitely be heading over, it looks lovely 😊. Great vid as always.
It's something we have said we would do for what feels like eternity however we always seem to find a reason not too such as "it's too late or It will be too busy" we got up early and just went for it expecting it too be busy however it wasn't that bad early
@@TheDevineOutdoors think we'll do the same just get up early and go, looks to good to miss. Thanks again.
Good walk that bro. Digging the climbing action at the start. And I agree the scent of the forest touches us all in the right places. Aromatherapy for sure. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed end to end. Mark
Cheers Mark
@@TheDevineOutdoors That's OK. Still digging the climbing and scent of the forst.
great video keep op the good work!
Cheers Tony .... appreciate the comments 👌👌
We still have to do Dinas Head as part of the Pembs coast path. Hoping to finish it this summer!
It's one of those walks that HAS to be done in good weather as it is pretty exposed ... been waiting for ages to do it 🤣🤣
I love running around Minwear and Canaston woods, done a couple of Narberth Nobbler runs there. Never seen the pirate or fairies yet.
I'm planning on heading to Canaston to capture a walk that side in the coming months I use to do a bit of Mountain biking around there but haven't really done much that side since the tree works and paths have been done 😀
Loved this one, amazing video as always! :)
Thankyou I feel they are definately getting better the more confident we get....
Thanks for sharing! :)
It's my pleasure and fully appreciate you taking the time to view and comment
Another great video!!!!!
Thankyou 👌
Good afternoon and a big thumbs up from us, smashing area and you have captured its beauty really well, love the drone footage too, gives such sense of scale and awe. Smashing day out and some cracking vistas too, the jelly fish was awesome! thanks for the share, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ❤☕👍🌞
Hi Ceri and Kat Thankyou for your feedback, I've watched a few of your uploads lately and thoroughly enjoyed ..... likewise enjoy your weekend ...... Dan,Tressa, Kian and Riley
Porthgain to Whitesands (or visa versa) is a definite recommendation. Refreshments and parking both ends. About 7 miles. Can be tough in places but still doable.
Excellent video, thanks. I'm planning a hike on the Golden Road very soon.
It's an awesome route, give yourself plenty of time and take the time to stop and look around
@@TheDevineOutdoors it's practically on my doorstep but never done it. Did the Beast Bach trail run and other routes around Rosebush though. Have subscribed because you've done a few routes in my area, I'm in Solva.
I'm slowly getting round to that area, I did walk from Newgale to Carn Llidi a few weeks back but didn't capture any footage as it was more of an equipment test for a challenge we have in the pipeline 👌 appreciate the sub if you have any recommendations feel free to drop it in the comments ..... Dan
I found that Maiden Castle and Poll Carn were SO MUCH better than Great Treffgarne Mountain. Especially when the trig for the mountain is fallen over, nestled in between a hedge! I think like you, I wandered right by the summit before I realised I was slowly heading down. Great video as always!
Yeah the Great Mountain is somewhat of a let down however as you said the Rocky outcrops of Poll Carn and Maiden Castle were outstanding and somewhere I will venture again (possibly with some climbing gear)
Brave man going through those bullocks, bthey can be dangerous.ngood video weather looks just right.
A firm believer in they can feel your nervousness ..... 🤣🤣

Glad your enjoying them Mate, think you may infact be my 1st International Subscriber.
congrats dan ,you have finaly been somewhere where ive never been.!
