So for the high voltage on indoor units if i have only one breaker how i power the rest of the indoor units? Daysi chain too? Im installing a 4 head vrv and i was going to run independent line for each into a secondary panel with 4 15amp breaker

Can we just make the ITM to be a view only option. I know there’s a Master/Slave switch on the itm. If I do this, would it just eliminate auto from the ITM. I think it just make sense to allow the BRC to do the Auto feature and show the differential at the BrC. I understand using the settings but the end user always ends up changing them regardless.

On the Daikin VRV III ...Unit model RXYQ-P9W1B, i was replacing a faulty main pc board. After i did the rewiring and plugged all terminals, when i start the unit it show PJ alarm on the remote diaplay. When i check for the PJ error code It is for 'Faulty field setting after replacing main pc board' Can you please support me on how to configure the new board or can you share me a service manual for the configuration procedure, i couldn't find a right service manual for my specific model on the daikin official website. Hi Dana. I saw your daikin VRV self test clip and I have the following question: I worked today on my home daikin VRV unit to reset an E3 fault (was due to power outage) and then started a test run which I did not complete (took too long and actually is not really needed as I did reset the E3 fault). Now all units are working fine but I have U3 displayed on the indoor units. What would be the easiest and quickest way to eliminate the U3 ? Will total reset (20 sec) do the trick? If not - I understand that there is a "quick test" mode which takes much less time than the 30-45 minute full test - what is the sequence to activate this "quick test" mode, and will that be sufficient to eliminate the U3? Thanks for the video. You mentioned the ITM requires a unique network number. Did you mean it requires a unique Device ID? It seems to me all devices in a group would belong to the same bacnet network.

Thank you! I've just had an ASHP system installed but wasn't given any instruction on how to operate the system. The wifi card wasn't installed so I couldn't connect to the app but I hope that will be resolved later today when a Daikin engineer is due to visit. Thanks to your videos I now have a better understanding of what I'll be able to do when the system is finally set up properly. It's particularly good when you show that things don't always work as expected. 🙂

Hey Dana, Four years ago, I chose a Daikin inverter system, RMXS 48LVJU, two branch boxes, three indoor units each. This is a residential install. Overall been extremely happy, but I’ve had some unexplained issues, would like some guidance. • at 18 months after install an unexpected high pressure rupture at an elbow inside the outdoor unit. Total loss replaced by my installer and Daikin. • over next 12 months recurring F3 and F5 faults. Installed a recorder to gather data, installer sent to Daikin engineering. Communicated over the next 3 to 6 months. Determination was overcharged, directed to release a half pound at the time until system stabilizes. That seem to occur with the last release being September 23, 2023. • through fall and winter system operated very well with occasional A5 fault showing up. • June 2024 and 100 degree days, air conditioning was not performing as previous three summers. Would not hold temp anywhere close to desire. Installer came out evacuated refrigerant to determine current charge and compared to design of 7.77 pound requirement. Almost exact. • he has stated, and I agree that he has reached his limit of knowledge of the systems, and the study of data acquired. I am currently recording data. • my ask is, can you advise on someone to at least look at the data recordings, and have some conversation to see if there’s a path forward that is realistic. And I know nobody works for free!!!!!

Hello, How do i get the 'Operation Data Export' logo on the iTM?

Daikin software is beyond hot garbage. It is completely unintuitive, needlessly cryptic, Bluetooth is incredibly unstable, they don't have wireless ota updates, almost $500 for a thermostat and controller that can't even connect to WiFi. If they weren't good at refrigeration this would be criminal. I wouldn't wish this dumpster fire on my worst enemy.

Thank you for the content IA. Wondering if you can add a commercial inline ceiling exhaust fan, with an EC motor to the iTM? Local rep is quoting me basically a whole control system just for the fan. Almost 8k- parts only. I have plenty of ports available. Are there any add-on pieces I need to integrate a standard EF? Many thanks for the help. - Best
