Nuru (Swahili for "light") is a company dedicated to enhancing connectivity in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In February 2020, Nuru launched a 1.3MWp solar-based hybrid mini-grid in Goma, the largest off-grid mini-grid in sub-Saharan Africa.

Goma 2 Construction Update: November 2024
Nuru is building a 3.7 MW solar metrogrid in western Goma, North Kivu, DR Congo. Through this project, Nuru will power more than 5,000 households, businesses and social institutions improving more than 35,000 lives.
