During the first Pillar of Praise Service , God's servant, Bishop Israel Olaiya Lawal, emphasized the importance of worship. He explained that as human beings, we are created to worship God, as stated in Genesis 1:28. Bishop Lawal highlighted that worship is our primary purpose on earth, supported by Exodus 23:25.
In his message, he stressed that worship should be a priority whenever we come before God, and that only God deserves our worship, according to Luke 4:8. He outlined several key reasons why we must worship God:
1. Acknowledge Him as God: It is essential in our daily lives to recognize God as the great and mighty Creator of the universe, as noted in Psalm 48:1-2. Bishop Lawal explained that God reveals Himself through His name, and in our worship, we experience the manifestation of His mysteries.
2. Know that He is a Loving Father: God cares deeply about us, as illustrated in Matthew 6:25-32. He constantly reminds us of His love and concern for our well-being.
Bishop Lawal concluded by saying that worshipping God in His holiness and acknowledging His greatness opens the door for God to reveal His mysteries in our lives.
