    Thank you so much for the video on replacing the rollers. I am not taking the machine apart so this is very helpful. Question: How did you get the roller to fit underneath the bar? I am having difficulty getting it underneath. Thanks….❤

      Hello, you need to hit the "Load" when you have the roller in the position that it will be in.. Mine is still going strong but when I finally need to change the other roller that is how I would do it. 🙂

    Really appreciate you doing this video. I have different replacement rollers (white) and had thought about doing the same. So now I've cut them and covered the cut with a thin strip of heavy duty tape. It's worked fine for two cuts of many shapes with the green mat and thick card. I've ordered similar rubber rollers and clips to yours as not sure if my ones will stay in place without the clips. Saves huge amount of time opposed to dismantling the whole thing and putting it back together again.

    Thank you so much for sharing this video! It worked like a charm! I had purchased the rollers about 3 weeks ago to fix my Cricut machine myself; however, after watching numerous videos on how much effort it will take to dis-assemble and re-assemble the machine, I did not want to take that task on. Therefore, I was considering sending it off to a "Cricut Doctor" I heard about on Reddit; however, I came across your video this morning and literally within 5 minutes of watching it my machine was back up and running. Thanks AGAIN! You're a lifesaver!

    You are so smart and a life saver!! I cut my new rolls, used a little crazy glue, clamped the ends so they would stay and some electrical tape to seal the deal! Back in biz! I am really disappointed that cricut doesn't offer a better solution to the issue.

    Thank you for your video. I finally found just what i was looking for.. lol.. Im up at 4am and hve watched a ton of videos on how to replace these. I already bought the replacements and sat down last night after gathering all the necessary tools and supplies needed to replace them, but after watching idk how many(too many) videos on the full process, im just not comfortable with taking my cricut maker apart to replace them. So yesterday I had the same idea as yours but wasnt sure it would work. And I had searched and searched looking for any video on this method, or hack, and couldn't find any, until finally, (thank goodness) i just came across yours. So im going to give it a try. Thank you very much. P.s. do u think any other tape would work ? Like electrical or some other kind. Just wondering if you think another type would work also or even maybe better? Thank you again.

    • @alldiycrafts3833
      @alldiycrafts3833 3 місяці тому

      I think that other types of tape will work. My roller is still on after just completing another big job. The tape does eventually wear off. The roller still working just fine. No matter what tape you decide to use, just know that you may need to retape after a few months or so.

    I like your idea and I think it could work even better if you made your cut on the new roller at a 45° angle across the roller. That would make the seam diagonal instead of in line with the metal pressure roller underneath. It would probably still be a good idea to put tape over the top of the roller to prevent it from spreading apart. I bought the same or at least similar replacement rollers to do mine and was watching a few videos to see if there were any “gotcha’s” I needed to be aware of before starting to work on mine. I’m actually not afraid of taking my machine apart because I used to be a service tech on similar types of machines. Most people don’t have that sort of background and very well could do more harm than good attempting this repair. I think I’ll try your method out and make my cut at 45° and see how it works out. If it doesn’t hold up, there are 4 more rollers in the package so I could still do the repair by disassembly.

    • @alldiycrafts3833
      @alldiycrafts3833 3 місяці тому

      I just finished a huge project and it is still holding, that being said the roller is fine, but the tape gets a bit worn from the rolling. When I replace the other side I will try the 45 degree like you suggested. It doesn't look like I will need to replace the one that I did in this video anytime soon :)

    • @TheFishingHobby
      @TheFishingHobby 3 місяці тому

      @@alldiycrafts3833 I ended up taking mine apart and replacing the rollers so I can’t comment as to whether a 45° angle would help or not. I will say that replacing the rollers isn’t something I would recommend unless someone is fairly good at figuring things out. I ran into a small issue with removing the roller shaft. It wouldn’t slide through an opening in the sheet metal side plate where it was supposed to because a plastic cover inside the machine didn’t fit the way it was supposed too. I’ll just tell people in this comment what I ran into in case it helps someone else out at some point. If you are looking at the front of the machine, on the right hand side there is a metal plate that is slotted in such a way as you should be able to lift the roller shaft up and then slide it out to the right hand side of the machine. The hole on the metal plate is larger at the top which is supposed to allow the roller to pass through the opening. There is a plastic side cover inside the machine that was blocking part of the larger hole opening and preventing the the roller from passing through the side plate like it should. I was able to use a dremel and a rotary file to quickly grind the plastic down in that area and everything worked out fine after that. It is also very tight working on removing and installing the retainer clip for the roller shaft on the left hand side of the machine due to some gears in that area. None of that was a big deal to me, but it could be a problem for a lot of people who are not used to doing that sort of thing. That’s why I think your idea is good and probably pretty useful to a lot of Cricut users out there!

      Glad it was helpful! I just finished a huge cheer project using 12 x 24 mats etc. No issues. Except the tape gets a little worn after a bunch of runs, so I may need to reapply tape but really not neeeded just yet. 🙂

    Hi Mrs. Anna that looks absolutely freaking amazingly GORGEOUS!! You did a heck of a job on it. Which it brings me to my question for you that I have and I'm praying you can help me out with some pointers and advice if you dont mind. I lost my mom back in August 2021 due to Covid-19. Well she didn't want to be buried, she wanted to be cremated and have her ashes thrown into the beach because she absolutely LOVED the beach. I think she loved it so much that she loved the beach more than my brother and I lol. (Not really). She had a thing for sharks teeth, sand dollars, star fish and sea shells. Well I can't spread her ashes in the ocean for about another 10 more years because my brother is in prison and he was in there when she passed away and I just can't spread her ashes in the ocean without my brother being with me. So I would like to make an urn made out of sea shells, sand dollars, sharks teeth and starfish with epoxy resin and put the ashes inside and be able to see the ashes from the outside. Any tips or advice on how I could be successful at this? This is also my first epoxy resin project.

      I really do not know, I would maybe start a smller similar project and see how it goes. I would Mod Podge the Sand Dollars though as the ones I have used soak up the resin and change color slightly, not in a bad way, I just noticed it.

    The first time I tried it, my coaster was too sticky after curing and I think that’s maybe I either did it makes it well enough or I was off by a couple ounces with one of them or some thing, but the second time I tried it. I mix the glitter, and with the resin before pouring, and it didn’t come out sticky, but it came out rough because of the sparkles/confetti on the top. Did I put too much sparkle in?
