How To Configure VPNs using Cisco Packet Tracer - Part FIVE
17:04 mine is failing at router 2 and never coming back at firewall
I see the addresses you established for R2 and R1 via serial are the same 192.168.10.0/30. Isn't that a conflict using the same addresses? Because I was taught that, for example, the addresses should be for R1 s0/0/0 192.168.10.1/30 and for R2 s0/0/0 192.168.10.2/30, and that'd be the transport network between those two. Now, between R1 and R3, I thought the transport network should be different, i.e. R1 s0/0/0 180.168.10.1/30 and R3 s0/0/0 180.168.10.2/30 and so on... so, how is your configuration possible without causing any conflict of duplicated IPs?
Is this the same method with new ASA's, my IOS will not let me create vlans, only vni interfaces. Is that a new form of vlans. I am confused. Did something change on Cisco's end.
I don't know why I ping 192.168.1.1 at last . There response request time out. please help me.
Thanks man that was very helpfull
You are the best man I just followed all Thankyou from the bottom of my heart❤
Hey bro, Your voice makes an echo. Kind of awkward to listen to.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I need to change the mic for future recordings - thanks
Very well spoken and explained, learnt more in 19 minutes than I have from my lecturer over 9 lectures!
Hi, thanks for your comment and glad the video helped. All the best, Greg
Hi Greg , it's native Vlan 99 the same as management vlan? can you set an ip address for management vlan 99 as native vlan ?
can we get to download the project
cool
best of best
great video i love you teaching
very clear directions and appreciate the explanation of some of the commands as they are used.
What's the zip extraction password?
Thank you I was trying to figure how to do this properly since yesterday
love your series Greg on OSPF, quick question why is the cost from R1 to R2 = 64?
nevermind! I saw your explanation in Part Four! thank you Greg
Thanks a lot!!! I was doing -1 instead of -L would have never found out about my error without your video
Dont you need to configure switchport mode access on your the switches that is connected to your PC?
Hi @purepure8950 - yes, this has already been configured. The switchport mode access command sets a port to be in access mode. This has already been completed for example on Switch 2 (S2) port Fa0/3 this has the switchport mode access command already configured (access port) as it's connected to an end user PC (note it would also have switchport acccess vlan 10 (to assign it to VLAN 10). I'll add a link below whereby you will find the initial topology and this has already been configured on switches (you can see initial config by using the command S2#show run. The configuration of assigning ports to VLANs and other configuration of access switches is not shown in this video as the main focus on these videos is to showcase communication using the Layer 3 switch and how to do inter-vlan routing (between access layer switches). Hope this helps and here is the link if you wish to look at initial and completed solution: bit.ly/2TwcJwr - all the best, Greg
ive been searching this all over the internet and finally found it.. very clear. Thank you

@berj2421 - Happy to help! Best of luck with CCNA studies. Greg
Hello friend, on packet tracer 5.3, I did exactly the same OSPF configurations you did but with different addressing scheme but neither of the 3 routers can see each other. Can't establish any neighbors.
Hi @philqurish3114 - Packet Tracer 5.3 is a old version of the software - My recommendation would be to re-create the same addressing scheme that i use in the lab and see if you have the same issue. Other aspects to check why ospf neighbors can't form include: if you haven't named each router with a different router id - as ospf will not form neighbor relationships if the RIDs are the same - in addition, it's worth checking area id (set to 0) and also subnet masks - OSPF requires that interfaces oon the same segment share the same subnet mask. Hope this helps and all the very best. Thanks,Greg
making it all sound easy and straightforward Greg. Well done for these videos.
Hi @SCMcDonLon - lot of config in ASA setup - hope you managed to get your's working too if you were configuring aswell. All the very best. Greg
Excellent videos mate. Thanks a million.
Hey @SCMcDonLon- glad the videos helped and thanks for the feedback! Greg
Even after watching Udemy videos, this video is the only one that made sense to me! Thanks Greg, you explain things so well.

Please, can you share this lab? Great explanation indeed
Hi @claudiodias5647 - sorry to say I don't have the this lab file anymore - on a previous laptop (that I no longer have) - all i can say is to perhaps lab up an example similar and give it a try. Hope the video helped. All the very best, Greg
I gotta thank you for these tutorials. This has been one of the most helpful resources Ive encountered and its helped me a great deal.
Hi again @captaincommando9839 Thanks so much for your kind words! I really appreciate your support!
I spent forever trying to figure out why I couldn't ping through the ASA after the first video while the answer was at the start of this one all along.
Hi @captaincommando9839 I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks for watching and commenting - glad you got the answer! Thanks,Greg
Level 1 teaching, thanks. I couldn’t finish it though. Too much of talking. It’s good for someone on level 1. Keep it up
Hi @watora_mari - Glad it helped! There are other parts to this (that follow on from part one) if it helps. All the very best. Greg
Hello Greg, You are a great teacher. very simple to comprehend . i can really understand more than my classroom teacher. no bias to my teacher anyways. simple and easy to quickly learn. Please keep doing more. I have subscribed. If i find any topic difficult to understand, this is where I will come. Thanks alot. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏

Thanks for this wonderful tutorial would like to see more newer videos.
Thanks for the feedback and hoping to make some more videos over the summer

I have rectified the sound of the video. If anyone interested let me know in comments.
Hi @lastmoment7906 - sorry the sound isn't great on this - when i create more videos in the future I'll experiment more with this to try and improve. Thanks for your comments. All the very best. Greg
I'm CISCO qualified and have worked in the industry for over 10 years. I've been searching for some really clear and concise videos on certain network features to share with apprentices joining my team so they can learn at their own pace. Your videos are fantastic, great quality, super clear explanations. Very well done, thank you.
Hi @aguitaragut3737 - I really appreciate your comments and I'm delighted to hear that my videos have helped your apprentices - I hope to make some more videos over the summer - are there any particular ones you feel that would be useful? Thanks for the feedback, Greg
@GregSouth NTP distribution is one I haven't found any great explanations for. Particularly where multiple switches are involved. As for some other topics maybe configuring interVLAN routing when trunked to a VM hypervisor. That seems to trip people up. I've found turning on/off debugging features tends to be hard to understand for people also.
@@aguitaragut3737 thank you very much for those topics
How did you get 255.255.255.240?
hi @teodorrra880317 - this dotted decimal subnet mask is the one that was provided in the example for the Dublin network - in cidr notation this is /28. Hope this helps, Greg
Thank you sir
You're welcome - All the best, Greg
Hello Sir, i really apreciate your video, it helps me for an assignements in network class. I'm just wondering if their is a way to get the document you're showing in the video ?
Hi @baptge5986 - thanks for the feedback - yes, please visit the following link bit.ly/2YXnwDr
This is such a great explanation. Thanks a lot, I appreciate this!
You're very welcome!
How did you assign the serials links to be in the same network range ip address because when I tried doing that, the router won't let me and because of ip overlapping?
Hi @maxirocitrizus4516 - be careful with the subnet masks you on the serial links - you will note they are /30. If you assigned them with /24 it would cause an issue with IP's overlapping. Hope this helps, Greg
Very clear video and begginner friendly, thank you!
Nice one
Nice explain greg... From INDIA🇮🇳
