Chapter 14 - Catalytic Surface Reactions
Переглядів 5124 роки тому
Nitric oxide (NO) emissions from automobile exhaust can be reduced by using a catalytic converter, and the following reaction occurs at the catalytic surface: NO CO -) N2 CO2 The concentration of NO is reduced by passing the exhaust gases over the surface, and the rate of reduction at the catalyst is governed by a first-order reaction. As a first approximation it may be assumed that NO reaches ...

Chapter 5 - Transient Conduction and Biot Number
Переглядів 8164 роки тому
Consider a packed bed with Pyrex ( density 2225 kg/m3), heat capacity = 835 J/kgK, k = 1.4 W/mK). a) How long does it take a sphere near the inlet of the system to accumulate 90% of the maximum possible thermal energy? b) What is the corresponding temperature at the center of the sphere?
Chapter 3 - 1D Steady-state Heat Conduction
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 роки тому
The composite wall consists of three materials, two of which are of known thermal conductivity, k_A = 25 W/mK and k_C = 50 W/mK, and known thickness, L_A = 0.30 m and L_C = 0.20 m. The third material, B, which is sandwiched between materials A and C, is of known thickness 2 L_B, where L_B = 0.15 m, but unknown thermal conductivity k_B. This material is generating heat at a constant rate. Under ...
Chapter 3 - Fins and differential heat balances
Переглядів 7314 роки тому
A thin flat plate of length L, thickness t, and width w (which is much larger than l) is thermally joined to two large heat sinks that are maintained at a temperature To. The bottom of the plate is well insulated, while the net heat flux to the top surface of the plate is known to have a uniform value of q''. a) Derive the differential equation that determines the steady-state temperature distr...

Nice explanation Love him from Iraq
thanks allot
why plug Ts-1 in for the boundary condition x=L if the temp at x=L is Ts-2?
The answer is not correct
very high level class.Genius chemical engineer like me can barely master this material.
This is a high level class, I assume graduate level. Only undergraduate distillation genius like me without reading the book can understand it.
Super! Please let me know the textbook your referencing in your lectures - TIAA
this rocks, thanks for the help!
Thank you so much
how did you solve for Kb?
Civil engineers 😁😁😁😁🥶🥶😬
Is the value of Xn given ?
Great explanation! Thank you!
You are indeed a lifesaver. I appreciate your kindness for making this video!
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!!
do you write backwards, asking for a friend
She's so pretty though
To answer your question though, they definitely let her write her way, and then they flip the video, making it appear as if she is writing backwards.

great!
why was the xt2 and xB2 not included as unknowns for the second column
Yeah
Sir area of cross-section of fin should-increase or decrease along its length please reply
thank you! this video helped me alot!!!
I've learned more than I've learned in 20 days of my classes in these 10 videos.. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Please upload refrigeration and liquefication if possible
No new videos?
Well explained 💯👍
Distillate flowrate should be 5907.84 kg/h
Happened to be my home work Loved it.
r u miror writing ?? daaaamn. thank 4 ur explanation <3
Can we applied same method on Crude oil distilation?
simple yet creative
this helped me so much!! thank you!
Thanks for this one.
Thankyouuu!
u just helped me a ton!, thanks so muchhh
are you typing everything backwards and reading everything backwards? This video triggers me for your view
which are the specific gravities?
Thank you so much ma'am for the video.. I heartily appreciate. Please how do we go about the case where only the liquid vapour experimental data is given.. that is no vapour composition.
whats the different between flash drum and flash distillation?
Flash drum(equipment) is where flash distillation(process) takes place.
#Studyingformidterms
Good one
Wow! Brilliant! Thanx!
The lip smacking is very distracting.
Thank you!
Can she write inverted? Thats fukin amazing
lmao no, it's flipped for her
Thank you very much!!
I love this video, so easy to understand. How did you do this video? What kind of tool do you use?
Girl You are killing it , pretty well explained i could understand 100% everything (although i'm billingüal English isnt My mother tongue ) i was good at distillation but i like to study again some stuff and You are Crystal clear when explaining ,congratulations . I can't find bubble and dew point, i rather do all in analítyc-algebraic way using numeric methods because graphic methods are límited to binary systems wich is pretty much límited i would love to see You explaining the rest of the topic.
The Xo value is 0.0002. Why was it considered to be just X?
How did u get your Xn value???
I never knew that biot number comes from flux balance!
