2018 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS Sound Yoshimura Alpha T no baffle vs Stock vs no muffler
Переглядів 13 тис.7 років тому
Sound comparison of 2018 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS stock exhaust, no muffler, and with Yoshimura Alpha T system no baffle installed. Quite simple to install and no fuel mapping or flash has been done. Yoshimura's dyno chart does show a dip in the torque curve in low revs, but with my butt dyno I feel it does not really need ecu flash. Yoshimura does say that they engineered the slip on to no...
Funny, I think I saw a Duke 390 wheel at the end of the video. Same combi as I have, a 390 and a street triple ;)
Sound test: ua-cam.com/video/siPobxXUgKA/v-deo.html For people who can't be bothered to click the linked videos, but can click the comments. Remember who's the best 🫠
Did I really just watch this whole video of an exhaust install, only to not hear it after it was done? 🤔 Won't happen again! 😡 😡
Lol yes Deserved a whole separate video. It was also linked in the video. But I'm a nice guy, so here: ua-cam.com/video/siPobxXUgKA/v-deo.html
All this and no sound clip
It's linked because it deserved it's own video. But because I want to save you 5 seconds here's the link ua-cam.com/video/siPobxXUgKA/v-deo.html Remember who loves you 😉
It’s less of a struggle if you lube the exhaust joints with copper grease or silver slip 👍
Nice, that should seal any possible gaps too and prevent leaks
No rev bombs?
How uncivilized
Did u put lubricant?
I didn't no
No sound clip 🤦🏽♂️
Lol. It's there on my channel. It needed it's own separate video ua-cam.com/video/siPobxXUgKA/v-deo.html
How did run compared to stock?!!!
Sorry for late response. While running stock map settings, I had to get a free flow exhaust. It was running too rich. Infinitely better with free flow exhaust.
funny and so informative, thank you kindly for your video :)
Great video thanks 👍

did you tune the bike after?
Jeremy Eden you don’t have too from my understanding. With the yoshi pipe the fueling is spot on
Great video ! What is the space between muffler and tyre ?
Plenty haha Thanks for watching
Para somar: A chave d boca é usada p segurar a porca. Para soltar ou apertar, use a d estria. A catraca usa-se depois d cabo d força. Se ñ vc queima o filme. Desculpe
thanks for the video. what is the noise level on the alpha T w and w/o DB killer? please measure with a phone @5500rpm.. i really need the info for racetrack use..thanks so much
Thanks for watching. Crashed the bike a while ago so can't help you. Sorry
@@yoshiRmoto sorry to hear that.. hope bike a speedy recovery.
It is universal muffler or not
I will be getting the 2018 RS next weekend and have already ordered this exhaust. Sounds great, I think it will be a good choice. Was it hard to install?
Congrats! Have you seen my other video of the steps to install it? You can assess from there Link: ua-cam.com/video/lT8Pg47vJ40/v-deo.html
Ummm .. Good Choice, I’ve Been Running ZFI/AFI/Z Bomb Since 09 . (09 Gsxr 1K) There The Best .. BTW .. That’s A Nice KTM.. That Being Said,, I Do Not Like KTM Motorcycles. I just Don’t,, & I know there Well Built Machines ,,, Hate Em.. I’ll Take A Jixxer ALLLLLLL Day..
I'm biased. This my first bike, first love. Got 10k miles on it haha.
bro can you advise if the same can be installed in duke 200 ??? As im ordering one as well
Sorry for late reply. Hopefully you got an answer, but I can't say definitively either way. But I do know quite a few accessories typically say 150/200/390 or such.

i'm doing it this weekend on a 2016. i have self mapper also to install too. good job/great vid.
Thanks for watching. Hopefully this vid was helpful!
To clarify, as greenrolaids commented, the cat is still there. It's right after the three headers become one.
Hi great video would help if you could add video to fix the DB killer
augustine muthu By fix do you mean put it back in? I crashed my bike and trashed the exhaust. So unfortunately can't help either way there.
ooh ..sorry to hear that ..Ride safe Yoshi !
used without DB killer for almost 600 kms the exhaust note is loud and gets on u after a while, ear plugs are also not effective. Fixed the DB killer for a more throatier note and is more sweet to hear.
augustine muthu I do remember the bike being loud even with ear plugs, but it was never an issue for me. Maybe since I push my ear plugs way in. Haha
The catalytic converters is still present in the pipe next to the sump. A remap is of no use, just idle the bike from cold without touching the throttle for approximately 12-15 minutes. The bike will adapt the fueling to compensate for the new muffler. Good choice in Yoshimura 👍🏻
Рувим Арсенио - Great choice of bike - Just a beautiful machine. You should get yourself an Aprilia Corse RACE ecu if you are running a full exhaust system and getting rid of the catalytic converter.
@El Dragon All you need are the data cables from Lonelec in the UK, and the free Gizzidiag software, and you can flash your stock ECU to the official Aprilia Race ECU. If you have a Windows laptop, all it costs is $30 for the cables, the software and .BIN file is free. Just did it to my 2018 Tuono V4 1100rr, works like a champ!
12-15 minutes after the ran kicks in
Do you remap ecu after install?
Pham Nguyen Thanks for watching. Yoshimura says you do not need to. I agree with them.
ive got yosh on mine and find a little hesitation 3-4 k so ive now put pcv on and seems smoother but want to get it better, so ive got the pcv auto tune to go on next
Toppo you must have ALL the horsepowers now! Haha From what I understand, bikes come running lean from factory. Besides, "fixing" and hesitation, you'll unlock more power too. A power commander is one option. Getting the Arrow exhaust map flashed to ECU is another. Again, all from what I understand
How much space to you have between the muffler and the swingarm? I have about an inch - but have not taken it out yet. I have bounced it up and down and it does not touch.
Jason Holloway Thanks for watching. If I remember correctly, it was about the same. If they don't while bouncing*, you should be good to go.
Hi, great video, how do you find the bike running now that you have installed the Alpha T exhaust, do you still have a silky smooth throttle and no flat spots at low revs ? At the end of your video I see you throw away a db killer / baffle, was this from the Alpha T exhaust, I noticed that the baffle has no holes in it along its length like normal baffles, is it just a straight through piece of tube then ? Look forward to your reply, thanks.
neil taylor Thanks for watching. The thing with triumph bikes is that their throttle response is butter smooth. Alpha T doesn't take that away. So yeah, smooth throttle throughout (even when I crashed it.) Probably should've put that in the video.. On mine, the baffle and exhaust have a small hole on the bottom side to secure the baffle with a small bolt. It's just like other baffles. If you can install the exhaust, you can remove the baffle.
Steps time stamps: [1. Loosen collar 0:15 2. Remove Exhaust bolts 0:26 3. Arrangement 3:17 4. Install new pipes 4:15 5. Install muffler 5:04 6. Attach exhaust to hangar 5:47 7. Install spring 5:59 8. Tighten collar 6:43 9. Check clearances 7:06 10. Wipe clean 7:10]
Yoshi Moto at the end... 😂 😂 😂 Dbkiller

Hi there, lovely video, just wondering if you can feel the dip at low revs, and is the fueling / throttle still silky smooth as with the original exhaust. Look forward to your reply
neil taylor - Thanks for watching. I do notice at REALLY low revs (2-3k rpm) there seems to be some hesitation. But who's ever that low on this bike?? ;)
