As we meander alongside Turtle Creek, keep your eyes peeled! We spot a group of turtles basking in the sun, a peaceful sight amidst the bustling city. Although initially we saw about six turtles from far away, the time came for a close up look, only was able to catch two on camera as they shyly slip into the water.
The highlight of our day is a truly once in a lifetime spectacle in the city, the April 8 2024 total solar eclipse. We find ourselves at Turtle Creek Park, surrounded by hundreds of excited spectators. The atmosphere is electric as the sky darkens and the moon completely covers the sun.
