Nice! It’s like 70 degrees here for November 1st lol
I think the temperature is going to go up to 40s-50s next week, here
Wher did u find cylinders
eBay look for Kawasaki Drifter 340 www.ebay.com/itm/387228604383
Awesome snowmobile love it.❤❄️
Thanks! I loved it too! Then I had to sell it
Dang, that's a bummer. My dad has a 1999 power special 600, needs a cdI box though.
@@codywhittle3151 EFI or carbureted?
EFI batteryless
I've got an XCR indy 600 triple myself.
We had a 14T.a good baler. But our TRACTORS were all AC.❤👍👍
I have a 1944 b with a 640 rake. I rake in 4th gear and it works perfect.
I had the identical setup. Miss those days
Cool I have a 14t baler now, works much better
Got to love the classic hand starts
Yep
Runs like a dream
Yep, and that was on the old gas that was still in it
Were they in break in mode or something?
Nope You just can’t go that fast on this track there isn’t enough room, plus it’s got that man made snow so it’s a lot wetter, and the track was very bumpy
@@steelmooseacsled2527 👍
Oh 1st 😊
But we're 2024 ?😊
Yes but it’s the 2025 model year
U caught that I'm old guy excellent cheers 🥂 lol 😂
Nope
I have a 1994 arctic cat zr 440 not engaging
Is it not reving high enough?
So what do I do
@@MichaelHalpaus I guess check your spark and compression, make sure your carburetors are clean and working properly, check fuel flow, make sure you’re throttle safety switch is working correctly
I did it's got spark
@@MichaelHalpaus ok Did you check any of the other things?
As reliable as a hammer, and very underated! If maintained correctly ive seen these liberty 600s go 10,000+ miles. Mines not a dragon just the fusion which gets its bad name from its bigger brother the 900 which had lots of issues. These sleds are as reliable as a hammer. I'm praying to the snow gods for some snow here in Pa! Lol. Swanky cat on UA-cam had a dragon a few years back that had a shit ton of miles on his, you can probably search his older vids! Enjoy that Polaris. How long have you owned it?
I just bought it last fall at a swap meet and the motor needed a rebuild so I did that and now it’s all good, just need snow
@@steelmooseacsled2527 u can't beat em! Same here need snow, I'm in south central Pa
@@paulcondie2520 I’m in east central MN and all we got is a couple inches which is going to be all melted by next week
@@steelmooseacsled2527 damn, seems like winter comes later here in Pa. Used to be snow in Oct thru Jan mainly when I was a kid. Now most are winter Dec thru March
@@paulcondie2520 yep I’ve never seen a winter like this one

I traded it
I have the same sled but don’t know what size belt belongs on it could you by any chance let me know
Dayco HP3022 Replaces OEM # M68715 Length: 47-1/8" Width: 1-1/4"
My dad had a 14T, bought brand new in 1957. We baled 8 to 12,000 bales a year.
Cool!
Looks good
Thanks
The 14T were great balers. 🐱
Yep, and they run so smoothly
what kind of handle bar riser is that i have the same sled and was wondering where you got it
www.denniskirk.com/powermadd/5-8-adjustable-handlebar-riser-45590.p5900751.prd/5900751.sku You might have to change out your steering post
Clean it up before you make a video
It was too cold to use the power washer that day so that’s why it’s a little dusty
Those 440s are little rippers. I have a 1997 zr440. A survivor, hardly any rust what so ever and a can on it. Sounds like it makes 140hp not 90 😂. Thing has 19-40 gears in the chain case and stock clutching, brand new 1.5in track, can’t keep the skis on the ground, takes off like a missile and will keep up with most sleds until 60ish. Unless I’m riding in the fields I don’t go faster than 60 anyway. Everyone is impressed by it and it’s a head turner for sure. I think you’ll have some fun with that little guy
Yep! I had a 99 SNO PRO last winter and it was a blast!
We had a Massey Ferguson #12 baler for 15+ years and bought it used , it was was a decent baler if you didn’t try to go too fast! We found keeping extra springs for the twine arm’s was a good idea, and getting the tension on them was the secret to the #12 tie good!
This one tied great just didn’t pickup hay, the pickup broke
That should ldle between 1300 - 1700
Looks like a comet exp or a 108
Those 440s are great sleds but not for mountain riding
I know I’m just gonna use it for ditch banging!
You mentioned adding a “concoction” to the cylinders to help get them unstuck. Would you share the recipe?
So I sprayed lots of that liquid wrench stuff in there and filled the crank case with used hydraulic oil from another tractor after spraying all the connections in there with that same stuff
It’s working right along Maybe try a gear slower on your tractor will help lots.
I was in the lowest gear , that baler is pretty heavy, I got a 14t John Deere and it runs super smooth
My 1st tractor was a JD B. 50ty years ago. I pulled an IH 990 haybine & a 24t baler for years.
Cool
Son, you should never get off that tractor with the PTO In gear . There is a lot of farmers missing hands and arms.
Yeah that's the hard way of doing it,, but if you've got nothing else to do?
This evaporator is super efficient I can get like 40 gallons boiled down in an hour or two
As far as rakes and balers go,, those two are kind of noisy! We have a couple International four bars on Steel and from time to time you have to watch the steel rods that go under the machine to keep it from clogging and make sure that they're not touching. Sometimes just stepping on the rod will fix it. On the bailer that style has the gathering arms on top instead of enclosed, that's what makes her noisy.😢
Yep I sold this baler and got a JD 14t it runs so much smoother and much quieter
Nothing wrong the old school machinery,, I’m on 135 acres, with hay and corn,, all my equipment averages 1950-1964,, and they all work great😎
Cool I sold that Massey baler and got a JD 14t instead it runs so much smoother
where do you get ports for you sled. I have the sane sled but is doesn't work
Ports or parts?
sorry I meant parts @@steelmooseacsled2527
Bought the wife a JD Spitfire the first year they came out. All green cowling. 78-79? Not criticizing, but a simple tri-pod would allow viewers to see so much more of the rebuild.
I know I just don’t have one. That spitfire sounds cool, my brother had one like that, I prefer the black hooded version because it’s got the Kawasaki instead of the Kohler
Poor quality cut of hay not all cut and you need to drop down pickup head missing most of the hay
So why it wasn’t cut the best is because my old horse drawn sickle mower kept getting clogged, and the pickup on the baler broke so it wasn’t picking up the hay properly
Oooooo, thats low-key kinda cool!
It’s so fun, I got a different baler I’m using now it still needs some adjustment but I like it better than the one in the video
Those are some heavy bales - bet they weigh 100 lbs :) Fun to see that old iron at work.
I think they are about 75 lbs I love seeing the old machines at work it’s so fun
Looks like it makes pretty tight bales
Ya really tight and heavy!
Accident waiting 2 happen!!!!

@@steelmooseacsled2527 standing up and no seat!!!
@@garylentz5504 oh, well I had no seat on it because I had the breaks out
Sounds great! Git’er done! ✌🇺🇸
Yep, it’s ready to work now, all it needs is new brakes
pull the pistons and free up the rings or just get new rings +
Thanks for the advice
Always wipe out the cylinders before rotating. You don't want grit and rust scratching into the crosshatching or piston rings causing a compression leak. AL.
Yep
