After sitting for 2 years in storage in FL in pieces I finally got around replacing a few gaskets and putting it back together. It fired up right away! Certainly not running great but a great feeling to hear it running again. Hopefully getting it road worthy soon!

1985 Moto Guzzi V65C. Very beautiful day out, just a little chilly. Just picked up the bike from the Guzzi specialist that tuned it up over the winter. First ride since fall 2018. A short ride in my 1975 CB550 cafe racer project. I completely restored the bike frame up, bigger jets, velocity stacks and painted matte black. It has straight pipes and is tuned a bit rich so you can hear it back fire every once in a while. Enjoy!

The bike must feel gorgeous and one of a kind, although I must say those bar handles look horrible. And let's not talk about the wind shield, that's one hell of a way to destroy a moto guzzi!

Love the video! I’m looking to get a cafe racer in the near future, what year was this cb550 and how much did you sell this one for? Also is it expensive to own one?
Fred cordeiro Thank you! The bike is a 1975 cb550. I ended up keeping it, I will actually be posting a new video soon. You can get one ready to go anywhere from 2/3k to 9/10k. They are really not expensive to own at all, it just can get tricky at times to source parts for a 40+ years old bike, but totally worth it

How do these bikes perform by today's standard? Can I pass most mini vans and entry level sports cars?
well honestly not quite up to today's standards, but thats not really what they get built for you know. They are still quite quick though, you won't have any trouble getting past most vehicles on the street

This thing sounds like my 79 chevy blazer.
Need to work on shifting a bit. Also if you keep running at that low of an RPM around town for extended periods of time you're going to kill your battery. Bike needs to be above roughly 3000+RPMS to give a positive charge back to the battery.
On my bike i dumped the keychain cause the extra keys kept hitting the metal. Giving an annoying sound. But i guess: you got one key for starting and the other for fuel filler cap. This camera setup is way cooler then the other guys looking like clowns with the camera on top of their helmet.
Would love to see more videos like this. Balls out fast.

Unfortunately it will be some time until my next video as I just moved country and I had to sell my bike. I am in the process of buying and building another one here, but it will take a little while.

The setup was a goPro hero 4 black in the regular waterproof case, mounted on a chest strap mount.
