I was walking in the woods this evening when I heard a rustle in the bushes. Upon further investigation it turned out to be a pine marten in a tree. He was a brave little fellow, he could have run up the tree to escape but he decided to stand his ground and growl even though I'm about 50 times his size.

I managed to crash my drone into a tree while concentrating on getting a panning shot to go smoothly! The moral of the story is never lose positional awareness.

This is a video taken from the top of a 320m hill in the center of Co. Cavan called Slieve Glah or in Irish Sliabh gCleath which means "mountain of wattle". I tried something a bit different for this video. I attached a 360 camera to the phantom drone. The point of 360 video is that you can look around by dragging the image with your mouse. For a more immersive experience it can also be viewed in a Virtual Reality headset. Then its like looking down from helicopter. I crashed the drone by flying too close to a hillside in blustery conditions. Luckily, apart from losing 2 propeller guards the drone survived intact and I was able to take another video 20 minutes later.

I recall on my first journey over to Ireland from the states May 2019, while in Cavan town with my cousin Michael Reilly he helped me find this awesome church with the historic "door" in the back, quite a find, love this winter take with drone footage, so pastoral and picturesque, excellent work...

Be proud of your heritage! Hey, thanks for this Video :-) I love this lake, spent loads of time here!!!!! Fishing with my Father ..... Excellent.
Would you restore the floors old-school style, i.e. wooden planks, and live with all the *creaking and squeaking* or go with something modern and quiet such as lightweight concrete cast-in-place slabs (e.g. Hambro D500 or SpeedFloor)?... and the *roof* whatcha gonna do about that?... rain's gotta drain!
To those with Romantic notions of restoring such a place to 21st Century habitability, your 1st Reality Check would be in-writing quotes from the local utilities on the cost to run *electricity and natural gas* lines out there. That's not a warm climate, and, just like this video, it's overcast much of the time, i.e. you're going to have a heck of a *heating bill* ;')

Glad you liked it J A. There is a marina by the lake shore. You can hire a rowing boat and row out to it. There are also guided boat tours of the lake. Google “LoughKey Forrest Park boat tours”.
