Blue jays in Central America? Like Oklahoma maybe.

How did you switch from bluejays to the Stellars Jay in a couple of places in this video? The difference is obvious.

Nice video. Gracie is a blue Jay rescued and released by my family more than 9 years ago. Today,he is raising his 17th and 18th brood of babies. The 18th are nestlings while the 17th are almost 3 months old. I have used a stopwatch to clock Gracie flying from our home to a tree over 150 meters away and he did that in just over 10 seconds. That gives him a MINIMUM flying speed of 33 mph. Over the past 9 years, I have learned that a lot of the "info" about Blue Jays on youtube and the net is innaccurate at best. One youtuber says things like, "blue jays do not molt in their first year"; "how to tell males from females"; "how to identify blue jays," etc, all of which are just ridiculous. Although I cannot be sure of the accuracy of these reports, the oldest banded wild blue jay is said to have been 17 years 6 months old, while the oldest captive blue jay is said to have been 26 years and 3 months old. Gracie has had the absolute greatest nutrition every single day of his life since his resue at just days old. Watching his flying speed amd skill and his dominance in the wild, it is clear that he is stronger and healthier than the others. Today, Gracie's extended (grand and great grand, etc) is enormous.
