The f-tape has a 'front-facing adhesive' and a 'rear-facing adhesive'. The 'rear-facing adhesive' is the larger surface area part where the 'non-stick backing has numbers. When applied to ONLY target the dominant skin tension line, which is possible with our invention as it is more accurate than other products out there, the micro-stretches on the skin corresponds with the double eyelid crease. Hi Connie, when your slightly higher lids can last all day after just 1 hour of single-sided tape use, it means you have the optimal face shape to form that newer and higher crease. It means your skin tension lines around the upper eyelids matches exactly where you have placed the tape. I'd like to see the quality of movement of the crease as the eyelid opens during tape removal, and in the evening after the skin have long settled. I'd also like to see what you mean by the lids being even more hooded... especially since you said that eyelid configuration can last a few days. Just by speculating how your eyelids are by your written description, having multiple creases IS a good sign if you intend to be training the lids to fold. In contrary, if the skin is so plump or tight, as in you have a lot of eyelid fat, or if the angle of the eyelid opening is too slanted, then it will be difficult to train the skin to fold. There is one thing that is stopping me from encouraging you to keep trying and it is the fact of you mentioning the lids become more hooded than before and it lasts up to a few days. What could go wrong is the duration of that eyelid configuration could increase until the point where it becomes permanent like that, especially if you're just using regular cosmetic eyelid tapes. Regular eyelid tapes inherently applies incorrect forces to the eyelid during tape removal. This is because those tapes are designed to be small and hidden within the folding skin. So, when you remove them, the adhesive is concentrated along a sliver of skin which then creates ripples on the surrounding area as you pull the tapes off. You can try performing an eyelid exercise called 'tracing' where you apply a slight layer of moisturizer to the lid and then use an eyelid tool to gently trace the length of the desired crease, given the crease matches your natural skin tension line. The 'tracing' eyelid exercise is generally used to reinforce an already developing double eyelid, and in most cases, that mechanical stimulation will not be sufficient to create a long lasting wrinkle on the eyelid skin. A double eyelid is just a deep wrinkle on the upper eyelid. Ray

​@@optifold Wow! Thanks so, so much for the comprehensive response, Ray. Your thorough expertise on this subject shows in all your videos, which I've been binging for a while. I will definitely try tracing, as there is already a faint wrinkle in the lid. My tape is big: spanning from lash line to crease and effectively flattening the old crease. After 4-5 hours of wear, the new crease is solid. I can still see an outline of the old, lower wrinkle, but it's more faded than the new one. Sometimes my epilanthic fold makes the old wrinkle more prominent, because it's stubborn and clings onto the old fold. The big problem is the next morning, when the lid skin around BOTH my new and old crease bloats/portrudes. There are 2-3 fine lines around the puffy part (where the old crease + new crease used to be). When I say it gets "more hooded", I mean this puffing/portruding creates an even lower crease than before. I think it's because since the new crease has faded out the old crease, both creases disappear in the morning in favour of nearly a full monolid. I'm young, so usually, this new monolid recovers to the old crease by a minimum of a few hours, and at maximum 2 day, but it still scares me when I see I've temporarily made things worse. When I get double eyelids naturally, they last multiple days (with no consequences), while my taped double eyelids of same height only last until the next morning.

The first thing you should try is the 'tracing the crease line' and 'holding the crease line' eyelid exercises mentioned in the video. Do about 20-30 repetitions of the 'tracing' exercise then 'hold the crease line' for about 5 minutes. Do this in the morning and at night for a week and let me know your progress. If that doesn't work, then not a problem. We still have the last option of using the newer double eyelid forming tapes called Opti-fold.

If you have very loose skin and your eyelid problem is the kind that is solvable, then yes, the more loose the skin, the easier it will work.

If your eyelid crease's problem is due to the inefficient movement of the eyelid skin, which is characterized by multiple creases, or broken creases, or shallow creases, AND you have loose skin, then Opti-fold treatment will work very fast for you.
