Ex of 9 years used to stonewall me throughout the relationship over silly arguments. The final stonewall she did for about a week, I got sick of it and I matched her behavior. 7 days in I mentioned that it is not friendly and she said that she is "Not responsible for how I feel" . That led to a heated argument and she kicked me out from our apartment. She never let me back in. She packed up all my stuff in garbage bags, said that I am abusive and that I have anger problema. Very cruel of her!

Have you considered the possibility that you may have issues with anger or abusive behavior, and that she might be protecting herself? Or has this been dismissed, with the focus solely on her being perceived as cruel?

@@monumatch1079 Maybe there's a reason for that. If someone isn’t attracted to you, it’s not their responsibility to force themselves to feel differently. It’s up to you to become a more attractive person. Playing the role of the victim while feeling entitled isn’t appealing to anyone. Have you ever considered that this attitude might be what’s turning people away? Or do you expect others to change to accommodate your sense of entitlement?

Thank you for the interesting responses that made me think. I appreciate everything that is discussed on your channel. I just wanted to point out that efforts need to be made by both parties to make a relationship work. However, I notice that there are many who teach men how to create the right environment, how to help improve the sense of security, and I’m sure these are all the right things... but what can women do? Nothing? Do they just have to wait? We should admit that there is a significant imbalance from this perspective.

The bottom line is you’re not good at sex. Your wife gets nothing out it, that’s why she has no desire for it with you. Instead of looking at that ugly truth and saying I’m not attractive to my wife and she gets nothing out of sex with me…I need to really work on myself to become s more attractive person, and learn how to meet her needs. You want a free pass. She meets your needs sexually quite well, that’s why you want more You don’t meet hers at all, that’s why she not in the least bit interested in sex with you…yet still she need to make an effort and do more. So no I can’t agree with you. Only you can resolve this issue. You’re the one lacking skills, not her, how is you not meeting her needs her problem to work on? What you’re actually looking for is a spell caster or a witch doctor, maybe some voodoo witch.

This is why men think women are crazy. In that scenario what does trash have to do with feeling like an equal? Why wouldn’t she just have an adult conversation and say I don’t feel treated like an equal? Women divert emotional responsibility by using the object or task as a scape goat for their uncomfortable feelings or emotions that they don’t want to admit come so easily at the drop of a dime or spilled milk, instead of just saying what they really mean, and then expect men to just figure it out without explaining it while also blaming them

I may be the only comment on this video and that is fine because God wanted me to hear this message. Out of all of the marriage help videos I watch for help and restoration in my current marriage, this one was the deepest and most resonating one for me today. I am a Christian and my name is Joshua. My parents named me after Joshua from the Old Testament so I believe that this was meant to be heard by me. I also will add that my church I am apart of had this same sermon last Sunday on Joshua. Your example details 3 problems: - Husband is dismissive of her emotions. - Husband criticizes her in an insensitive way. These 2 things have continued to happen for sometime and eventually makes the wife emotionally withdrawn. You example clears shows how the husband is being unfair in his interaction with his wife. There’s a reason there are only 13 comments to this video being up one year. This is bullshit. Why is it always on us men to change the situation? Her actual realization of what contributions she makes to the situation is non existent. Often times her unhappiness is rooted within HERSELF and there is NOTHING YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE. This is the same advice I’ve been hearing my entire long life and could not figure out WHY IT NEVER WORKS. Of course, she will tell you where you fall short, but rectifying that will only lead to the next thing she doesn’t like. These are NOT THE ROOT PROBLEM. You will continue trying to hit a moving target, and if you do get close, that’s when the goalposts move. Most women are unable to be satisfied with a normal predictable good life, and are unhappy. Find one who isn’t like this, gents, or just be satisfied with letting the unhappy one go and learn the fulfilling aspect of going it alone. There are plenty out there you can have short term flings with to keep your hormones satisfied!

Men don't just invalidate women for no reason. Men are charged with always having to be sensitive to women's emotions and views, but women are never held accountable to the same standards. If the woman wants to be understood on an emotional level, and she wants to avoid fights and pain, then why do women do nothing but create fights by blaming the men for their feelings? All women have to say is "i want you to understand me" and I will seek to understand. But instead I'm met with unfair judgements and I'm condemned as an evil or bad person for not reading her mind and not wanting to put up with baseless hostile accusations every day of my life.

You say the cause of the stonewalling is the man's behavior, but what if the man was unfairly judged by a neurotic, controlling and emasculating wife who cannot accept responsibility for her own actions, and the man got sick of it, and now the wife is stonewalling? Does the mechanics of cause and effect apply to the woman or just solely to the man?

There is no excuse for stonewalling. Stonewalling is abusive, manipulative, and childish. If a woman is stonewalling you, it's because she's holding onto resentment. She thinks she is entitled to resent you, but you can't resent her. Double standards. And even if you apologize and try to communicate with her to resolve things, she will still stonewall you. So you're constantly being crucified, and you're on a neverending hampster wheel of trying to appease her emotions (even if they're not justified at all) to get her to stop withdrawing. It's all a game plated by a woman who is emotionally immature and can't handle conflict.

She is going to start looking elsewhere, she is going to start an affair.

No, it doesn’t mean that at all. It means communication with you is painful, pointless or both.

Have you thought of running relationship courses? I mean before the crisis point occurs? I think they would be successful. To be good at anything requires study and practice. The same is true of relationships. I wish I had known the information before my family fell apart.

How do you deal with a wife that is checked out and when you even try to make small talk with her she says to you to not even bother…. She has also been angry at me and tries to pick out everything she thinks I do wrong in her eyes which are the most random things to start a fight. I have stopped giving in and arguing about them but don’t know how to regain trust and rebuild when she is so shut down…
