Lets see, it looks like it is going to be very close for Tampa. Pretty bad scenerio for them... Yeah, it does look similar to the 2004 Hurricane Season and all the Florida landfalls.

Lets see how this system plays out. It looks very bad right now.

I have seen a lot of people underestimating the Atlantic this year. It may not be as active as predicted, but it only takes one and we learned that a few days ago

It sure has. This Season thinks we are going to start entering the month of September now, instead of October.

@@Sue-bekky For sure. Similar to 2022, which was an average year, but Fiona and Ian made the point that it only takes one. The predictions is what led people to expect a lot from the season. It will be interesting to read reports, once the season is done, to see what were the factors that brough activity down, from what they were predicting and couldn't factor into their forecasts. At least, factors that weren't apart in April lets say.

@@Sue-bekky Personally, I like to see a Cat. 5 out to sea, it's fascinating to look at. But, not with a storm like Helene when landfall has to happen. Don't need to have a Cat. 5 then. The damage has been devastating with Helene though. Cat 4 or 5, it barely could have been any worse for the south east. Thank you for your thoughts on this!

lol I don't really get a winter down here, so I'm not as familiar with winter storms. That might be better for those that have more experience with winter

@@Bishop83HD oh ok. How do you do record those clips while on live like the weather channel??? Do you screen record. I might do the winter storm version lol.

@@marquis_0031 Let me know if you do! Basically they are DVR recordings. So I would program through out the day, and at night, I'll go through the videos and record the clip that I wanted from there. Capture it into my PC from the DVR. Last year I had Dish Network, but now I'm using UA-cam TV and their DVR cloud service. Same principal, just run a FireStick to my PC and record it that way through UA-cam TV. A DVR like storage is the best option so you can record your clips that way. Doing it live would be a lot harder. Best of luck and keep me updated!

that’s great to hear! I understand because when I was your age, I only had The Weather Channel, but I would watch it non stop tracking these storms.

I just saw that it's at 105 mph, pretty impressive for the location it is in.

They're not, but the video is long enough already and something may develop in the Caribbean next week. With Helene becoming post-tropical, it felt like a good time to end the video before thing else developed. I'm recording coverage on Isaac and Joyce, plus the remaining impact of Helene on a new video.

They can't. It reminds me of the late 90's when Hurricanes would curve out to North Carolina. That area of Florida has been badly impacted. Plus, Helene is going to bring big impacts far inland. A very bad night for people in Georgia too. I've been seeing that area in the Caribbean too. Hopefully it doesn't develop and take a similar path, but some years certain areas are targeted.

I have 3 clips only of John so far. Right before it made landfall and once it was on land. I did see that it went back out to sea and it will hit Mexico again, that's surprising. I'll try to record what I can of the second landfall, but almost all the news coverage is on Helene. I'll see if I have more luck with the Spanish Weather Channel.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see much of this Typhoon while it was happening. I have to look through UA-cam. Although a quick coverage showed up on The Weather Channel when it was making landfall in Vietnam. Just looked at the death toll and it passed 800? That's sad, and I guess it may be higher. Was it because of the strong winds or heavy rainfall and flooding? If you have a good UA-cam video you watched on this Typhoon, please share it. I would like to see it.

There might be balance between very high number of storms and powerful Hurricanes. Maybe it won’t match the number of Tropical Storms of other past seasons, but it may produce a higher number of stronger Hurricanes. We’ll see.

well, I think they both reached 185mph, and Wilma had the lowest pressure un the Caribbean., but at those strength, they are all nightmares

Those storms, each one having an even lower pressure, it was increadible to this of the power, they were having in the Gulf Of Mexico.

@@joshuadala3508 Not sure if I have thought of a hypothetical scenario like that. Personally, I would like to live to see the day an Atlantic Hurricane peak's at 220mph, completely out at sea, but I would love to see the satellite imagery and just about everything, of such a monster.

@@Bishop83HDdon’t you also question the WMO for not retiring some storms that caused a lot of damage and death but got overlooked by other storms that same season like Emily Hanna Isaac Hermine Imelda Sally Isaias Delta Fred Zeta Idalia and julia

@@joshuadala3508 Sure, somes storms I do question. Especially with Tropical Storm Hanna (2008). I think the death toll was 3,000 in Haiti.
