The Sun Belt did not like having a black man in charge of the conference, hence the discrimination lawsuit against the conference for under minding him, hostile work environment, and forcing him out. If a single black man was treated that way, any number of HBCUs in the conference would be a nightmare. To me we should go FBS together or not at all.

The Florida schools being in the same travel pod as the North Carolina schools creates a problem from a financial stand point, unless there is some financial assistants . Coach Oliver even spoke about going too far south when it comes to travel, unless (not including money games). Regardless of that it is the most well thought out FBS HBCU conference plan I have seen. I would would just do two divisions though: combine the North\East and South\West. Switch BCU (moves to South\West) and Tennessee State (moves to North\East). The other problem is what happens to the schools that are left out like Valley, UMES, and Coppin State? Going D2, would more than likely in all of those schools cutting sports to make it better from an athletic budget stand point. Remember a good number of the schools in the CIAA dropped baseball many years ago, i think Virginia State is the only school left that has baseball. Outside of the financial hurdle, i think the biggest thing that will be standing in the way is the SWAC and MEAC conference leadership. It seems both are happy with the current two conference set up. To me you are going to have to buy pass the conference leaderships and get buy in from the schools, which means basically you are going to have to get them to leave their respective conferences.

Zo let's just be honest the super conference is never gonna happen, and you can't bring every hbcu, to fbs and if we are being realistic the only school is jackson st that has a realistic chance to go FBS, and honestly I'm not with the super conference

I think the concept could work at the FBS level, but we should start in the FCS first. Moving 20 teams up to the FBS would require around $100 million, which is a huge investment. If we focus on coming together and creating a super conference in the FCS, we can build our financial base and prove the concept works. Once we’ve shown it’s possible at this level, it could open the door to moving up. But for now, we need to focus on uniting and making it work where we are.

When you get your phone/call in line up, your show is gonna go thru the roof. Your banter and discussions are top notch on the other shows.

Zo, l love the HBCU templates you display, l think it is a GENIUS idea if l make say. The only thing l feel like what should be added is that each college should be able to pick one college outside of their pie to play each other every year. For example, (JSU vs SU), (Norfolk vs Delaware State). Games like this are rivalry, and they also are money games inside of the conference. Other than that, man, l think you just created a monster 😊🎉

Any new news on the MEAC expansion? New schools being added?

Great hires across the HBCU landscape so far. I think both Norfolk & Delaware HC hires were needed for those schools and the MEAC. The SWAC got 2 high quality HC hires with Sam Shade at Alabama A&M and Tremaine Jackson at Prairie View
