Circuit - live in concert - Nepean, Ontario - Cock n Bull Pub - 2003-12-21
Ottawa band Circuit performing at the Cock 'n Bull Pub in Bells Corners on December 21st, 2003.
View is partially blocked because camera is just set up on a table filming. I believe the last 5 minutes of the show are missed as well. From about the 48:50 mark onwards is the original minidiv quality recording. For the first 48 minutes, the footage had originally been backed up to a VHS tape, so it's slightly less quality.
Filmed by me on a minidv camera in 2003, digitized years ago and uploaded now. All rights owned by the band, I own none of this content.

Moxy - Oshawa, Ontario - live concert 2005-06-25 (Terrible sound/lighting!)
Переглядів 362 місяці тому
Canadian classic rock band Moxy performing live at a bar in Oshawa, Ontario back on June 25th, 2005. Alex Machin (formerly of A Foot in Coldwater) is the lead singer for this show. Unfortunately, the sound quality is so horrible that it's basically unwatchable. I must have accidentally clicked the wrong mic setting the night of the show and it recorded way too high. I tried a few different ways...

Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, along with guest performer Damhnait Doyle, perform live at the Ottawa Civic Centre during the Central Canada Exhibition (Super Ex) concert series, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on August 18th, 2003. The concert was recorded by me on minidv and digitized years ago, finally getting around to uploading it now. (Note that I long ago re-used the original minidiv tape, and st...
Coney Hatch - Kitchener, Ontario - Lulu's - full live concert - 1994-10-29

Canadian band Coney Hatch performs live at Lulu's in Kitchener, Ontario at the bar's Halloween party event. Date of the show was Saturday October 29th, 1994. This was filmed by someone in the audience, and I acquired it years ago I think from the filmer. I couldn't find it on UA-cam, so I've taken the liberty of digitizing and uploading it for fans to enjoy. All rights with the band, I own none...
Rik Emmett (Triumph) - Much Music interview segment - circa 1992
Переглядів 3913 місяці тому
This is a brief interview clip with Rik Emmett from Triumph. A much longer interview would have aired on Much Music originally in 1991 or 1992, after Rik had left Triumph. Much then pulled this segment out and re-aired it as part of a Much Music "Spotlight" on Triumph and Rik which aired on October 27th, 1994. I have never seen the original 1991-1992 interview in full anywhere. From my old VHS ...
Triumph Gil Moore - interview on The New Music - April 1983

Gil Moore, drummer and vocalist from Canadian rock band Triumph is interviewed in April 1983 on City TV's "The New Music" show (which eventually would inspire the creation of the Much Music channel). I've sourced this interview from two different places. The first 7 minutes are from an intact segment from the original broadcast which someone had recorded on VHS. The last minute was from the sam...
Brighton Rock - interview and live footage from Marquee London England (Hard and Heavy Volume 4)

Underrated Canadian rock band Brighton Rock show up in an official VHS release called "Hard and Heavy Volume 4", with a few interview clips and a live performance of "Power Overload". Acquired from a European collector and digitized years ago, now uploading for Brighton Rock fans. RIP Gerry. All rights belong to the band, I own none of this content.
Triumph - Mike Levine interview on The Beat Detroit WTVS 1985
Переглядів 2003 місяці тому
This is a brief interview with Mike Levine of Canadian rock band Triumph appearing on "The Beat" a PBS Detroit (WTVS) show hosted by Doug Podell. I estimate this clip to be from early January 1985, which is when Triumph was touring Thunder Seven in the Michigan area. If the interview ran longer, I never got a copy of it, this is all I got from a fan many years ago on VHS. Now digitized and uplo...
Much Music announces Rik Emmett leaving Triumph - September 1988 - Pepsi Power Hour

This was the moment when Canadian TV network Much Music VJ Laurie Brown announced the surprising news that Rik Emmett was leaving Triumph. It was announced as a breaking news item during the Pepsi Power Hour in early September 1988. No mention is made of it, but Triumph played a gig at the Kingswood Music Theatre in Toronto on Saturday September 3rd, 1988, and right afterwards Rik announced he ...

British heavy metal band Grim Reaper perform at Wacken Open Air in 2000. There are a few videos from this performance on UA-cam, but I didn't see any taken by this filmer. I acquired this video 20 years ago, I did not film it. It is of course incomplete, but thought I'd upload it for fans to enjoy. RIP Steve Grimmett. Rik Emmett of Canadian rock band Triumph is interviewed on Musique Plus (the French Canada equivalent of Much Music) following the release of the Thunder Seven album. It is from Quebec :) Rare footage acquired years ago o...

Canadian rock band Triumph and their later-solo guitarist Rik Emmett are profiled on Musique Plus (the French-language equivalent of Much Music based out of Montreal, Quebec) in a show called "Rock en Bulle". I lived in Gatineau for a few months in 2014-15 and the area is so different today. It's so great to see these old lines when they were still in service - especially from the cab window. By the way these are 8mm films, not "video recordings" for all you young'ins.

It’s interesting to track the struggles in Rik’s high register. I’ve always sort of assumed it was somewhere in the early 2000s when it started to get harder for him. I think he managed pretty well here though!

PATIENCE CALMS THOSE STORMS... (5-minute study) ...and tempests which are apt to rise in the heart when a person is under any sore and heavy affliction. The emotions will be stirred, but this grace takes away the violence of them. All those turbulences and uproars of passions, all those willful and wild emotions which distract reason and rend the soul, making us unfit for the service of God or the employment of our business-these patience ought to quell, and in measure suppress. He who can rule his body better than his soul, his actions than his passions, lacks the principal part of patience. All this must be done upon right grounds. This requires us to distinguish sharply between natural and Christian patience. There is a natural patience sometimes found in those devoid of true grace: such strength of character, fortitude of mind, tranquillity of spirit, which often puts the people of God to shame. Yet that is only a moral virtue, proceeding only from natural and moral principles. How is the Christian who naturally is impulsive, fiery, fickle, to ascertain whether his patience is of a superior order? By the principles from which it proceeds, the motives actuating it, and the ends for which it is put forth. Moral virtue proceeds only from the principles of reason, is actuated by such arguments as human prudence furnishes, and is exercised to promote self-esteem or the respect of our fellowmen. Many an unregenerate person, by a process of self-discipline, has hardened himself to bear the evils which befall him by persuading himself it is folly to rebel against fate and torment himself over the inevitable, telling himself that what cannot be cured must be endured, that to give way to peevishness is childish and will effect no good, and that to yield to a spirit of fury will only lower him in the eyes of others. But spiritual patience proceeds from a principle of grace, is actuated by higher motives, and is induced by greatly superior considerations than those which regulate the most refined and self-controlled unregenerate person. Spiritual patience springs from faith (James 1:3) and from hope (Romans 8:25). Patience eyes the sovereignty of God, to which it is our duty to submit. It eyes His benevolence and is assured that the most painful affliction is among the "all things" He is making work together for our good.

Wow. Haven't seen this before. SANTERS with no light show, no drum riser, no pyro, barely a PA and most surprisingly, no road crew lol. Didn't seem to matter as we engaged in a tight performance with some great guitar work (as always) from Mr. R Santers and a sphincter tight rhythm section performance from M Santers and yours truly. The level of the bass is a bit quiet but you can't have it all when you're doing a ONE Vid/Audio shoot. One camera, one angle, one microphone, one take. Thanks for posting this.

I thought I knew all his performances. First time seeing this. What a freaking great performance. There is NO better guitar player than thus guy. No pedals, no special effects whatsoever. Amazing. Just because the band, Triumph weren't those bad guys using drugs or drinking, never got the attention they deserve. Rik mentioned a few years back or so that he retired, and 2 month ago was on stage again... 😂 He's the best!!! At US Festival, they kicked every other band ass by far. Long live Triumph and Mr Emmett, Mr Moore and Mr Levine. And Rik, by the way, survived fux#!*g cancer. ❤❤❤
