Live at Qwest Center Omaha, Nebraska, on February 2, 2008... I could consider this a classic "live moment" on par with about any era (yes, a tall claim). Overall, this show was "good" and far from some of the truly bad shows of the 2007-08 tour - but not as "polished" overall as what I saw in Minneapolis 2007. Ed seemed just a little too fucked up in Omaha but managed it better than many times ...
The setlist were pretty repetitive in ‘92, but I still have such great memories of that tour. The Swing Tour and the Bloodflowers Tour had crazy setlis, but it was 2016 that really took it into the stratosphere- This Twilight Garden, Other Voices, The Big Hand, 2 Late…
Yes he did. Show I went to East Rutherford, NJ they all were pro’d out!!
And still a "she lost control" gimmick in the outro like the other 1992 live version 🙂
PHENOMENAL.
Love it such a haunting powerful original melody😊❤
🫡
Paris version was the best
I wasnt there but I am now
Dave sounded great on this tour!!
Que gran banda The Cure!!!!!
Boris
Raw energy!
Thanks to Mother Gaea, Father Time and the Universe after 40y wandering in the wilderness in 2020 I found my Slovak flame again, I hope we'll be together again and again and again and again and again....
Okay
I feel like sitting 3veryone of mine down and making payup on the karmic debts they have created my abusing me and using me a taking all that I was from me...
A little different than the normal Edward 👍🏻
Juste... Merci pour cette version stratosphérique... 😍👍
Trip-goth... Seriously though there is no label for what The Cure does, and the only one that fits is The Cure.
❤❤😊❤❤
AMAZING
73 years old, and still a very fav band for me. Senility? Maybe.
nice, hare krishna greetings from bosnia

MAGNÍFICOS SIMPLISMENTE ADORO AMO ANOS 80 MUNDO ENCANTADOR
greatest version ever! thank you Robert!
wow they really unleashed on this one, awesome version
I was a US Soldier stationed at Mannheim Germany and was able to see this concert. Which started my The Cure collection. Now I am 51 and always play Robert's music!!
Greetings from Mannheim. Was there too
I was there!!
Wasn't anything this man couldn't play
I wish I was there!!! 😲
Thank you for sharing! 🙏
I was there :)))
I was there! ♥♥♥
I really hate the stupid audience clapping in the beginning, it almost threw off the band. 😡 However, sexy Simon has better hair than me! 💋🤣
Boris Williams!
Their best drummer IMO.
Nice🏴
So cool
The level of musicianship in this lineup by 1992 was the height of this band. Unfortunately after Porl and Boris departed they never really recovered... I remember seeing them in 92 and 4 years later in 96, they were completely different band, a lot slower and definitely not as good... 92 was the height of their greatness
For sure - I discovered the band in '92, they were indeed such a machine then with Boris as that extra "edge" that really made them pop during this era, with Burn being his last hurrah. From the opening few beats of Dredd Song, I knew immediately had changed. The Cure were going soft. Some truly awful drum sounds to come. The broadcast of Glastonbury '95 also confirmed that this drummer was NOT a god like Boris and Andy were... And Perry suddenly taking over a bunch of the lead guitar in '96? Really cringeworthy if you actually listen, anemic and sloppy, no attitude, bad intonation etc. etc... Either you "get" this issue with the band or you don't (or you're in denial)... Almost every successful band - like them or not - has a fairly solid drummer... Not The Cure - not anymore, and apparently not ever again it seems. Just snap Mr. Cooper to the grid as usual, and you've got some perfectly monotonous studio percussion to contrast with the "I'm just barely keeping up!" vibe he imparts to the rest of the band in a live setting...
@@echo1434 I absolutely agree with everything you've stated .Interesting thing about Boris Williams was he joined the cure to actually get away from being in a stadium act. Being in the Thompson Twins before The Cure he was playing stadiums although they weren't letting him be creative... I think Boris got frustrated with being in The Cure because it just became too big. Considering the fact that Boris after walking out in 1994 really hasn't done a whole lot sense! I remember reading somewhere years ago that Boris had said that when it came to the fame of The Cure and the fact that he had to have his own personal bodyguard that was when he knew he needed to leave. I do know this much if it wasn't for Boris Williams The Cure never would have made it to those stadiums and never would have been as successful as they were... I think that he was possibly the most important member of the band next to Robert Smith. Andy Anderson was also a huge influence as well I always found it to be really sad that the 1984 line up did not have more time to grow. In a lot of ways the 1984 line up was much more aggressive than any other lineup at least in my opinion...
This is the dream team lineup!
'A band's only as good as their drummer' - an old saying that proves itself true over and over again.
@@echo1434 eat your words...the new stuff is incredible and the drumming and percussion especially stands out!!
I used 2b his mum n dad's postman here in Crawley W Sx . Brill version. Another gr8 version is one he did in the 80s where they were told to finish early so Robert Palmer could get on ..Robert says FUCK ROBERT PALMER AND FUCK ROCK N ROLL.THAT EAS A GR8 VERSION 2 I'm 68 oi oi
I'm 60 years old and I still love the cure since 80's
67 and yes same here 😊
Good choise
I’am 56 and saw them the last 8th of November in Montpellier south France for my 17th concert of The Cure since the first one in 1986…. Always and forever !!!
I'm 60 too, and I'm grateful every day we grew up with this. We had The Cure, The Jam, Special aka, Clash, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Stone Roses and the kids now have got joke acts like Bruno Mars, Sam Smith and various other mediocrity. In a generational sense we dodged a cannon ball.
Don't think you ever stop.
uno dei pezzi migliori della storia del rock...anni luce dai mediocri gruppi attuali
Again showing the world that when he's on he can play blues better than anyone .. ask Jeff beck ... long live the GOAT
Mark your mistaken. You sir Must not live the blues
Eddie could have been a great blues player, but he was too into his brand of hair metal so he didn't pay mind to other genres really.

Porl et Simon complètement à fond !
Und Boris.

My first concert The cure 1988 Argentina 🇦🇷♥
1987. Not 1988
Ich war dabei...super‼️👌🤗❤🎵🫂
Thank you so much for uploading this ❤️😍🔥🔥🔥 this version and this tour, oh man I don’t think I’ll ever see anything like this again in my life
They are touring now! Don’t live in the past! Go get your tickets!
This WISH tour was awesome….. like all other tours …. ( maybe except NÎMES 98 ( south France) because they were drunk and stoned…… My 17th gig of The CuRE was last November in Montpellier ( south France)
Really an incredible version, I wish I saw it live. Thanks for sharing with some quality audio. I wish they released more of this stuff
Remember that night as if it was yesterday seeing the cure on there wish tour in dusseldorf and the place erupted when they played this extended version of a forest...
Thanks for sharing they also did this at the tiger jam in 2008 you can find the vid on here
Glad you liked it, and thanks for the info. From an assortment of recordings I heard from the tour, I just knew it wasn't an every night thing - I'll check this other version out!
It wasn’t an every night thing. I saw them in 2007 at the all state arena in rosemont, Illinois (formerly the rosemont horizon). Search for I’m The One on UA-cam from October of 2007. Don’t want to give anything away but they played the United Center in Chicago that weekend and it was totally different. I then went to see them in Scottsdale, AZ that same year and they did this motorcycle sound challenge thing between the 2 of them. That’s when they were at their best. First VH show was 1984 tour in Dallas at Reunion Arena and they were WAY too drunk and coked up. Best tour with Mikey was the “hide your sheep” tour 1982. Search for the show from that year from Largo, MD, unbelievable. Miss EVH every day, the absolute transcending soundtrack to my generations memories. Thanks for the post, thoroughly enjoyed it!!
My first Concert (i was 14) .. and my Cure Journey begans.. now iam 42 (35 Cure Concerts later...)
I hate people who say shit like ‘i was born in the wrong generation.’ But i would love to have been born just in time to catch some earlier Cure concerts and The Smiths also. But it’s great how we’ve access to so many live songs/ shows thankfully
Fan since 1982 and still love the Cure as much as ever 🎸🎸🎸
Ciao buongiorno x p. Ll
My first cure concert too I was 14.
I played Simonette in a Cure tribute band (The Xploding Boys) for 7 years! It was the time of my life....
