This is the Skye Boat Song, as you have never heard it before. Played on Belleplates, from an arrangement by Mr Malcolm Wilson Played by St Lawrence Chobham Handbell Ringers

I'm liking that the guy with the massive Belleplates has wrist supports on.

Impressive!:)
Wow! Enchantingly beautiful! Probably the prettiest arrangement I've heard, and with such lovely, delicate sounding instruments! Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Bloody well done, lads and lassies! Thanks!
belleplates is what the description said, so i am guessing they are like a form of hand bells. song is pretty nonetheless, kinda sounds like a music box version of the song.
One of the most beautiful versions I've heard. Brilliant!
a very original way to play a traditional scotish tune brill. just got to ask where is this cause i never thought that my countrys songs ever went very far round the world. but im probably wrong.any way brill!!!!!
This was played by St Lawrence Chobham at Warlingham Hall during a concert hosted by All Saints Warlingham Handbell Ringers in Warlingham, Surrey, UK led by Mr. Tim Willetts who is now Chair (I believe but don’t hold me to it) of HRGB - Handbell Ringers of Great Britain. The team is made up of players from both groups. I’m surprised no one posted the info - St Lawrence Chobham is a really good handbell choir based out of Chobham, Surrey.
What a beautiful pure sound. Found this because the same song is played by an autoharpist. Please post more. My husband thinks its sounds like a cross between bells and a glass harmonica. Fantastic!!!
nice i herad it in school and fell in love wif it
what a lovely way to play this song as its often now sung as a lullyabye
