Happy new year everybody, first snow this year, need to do some plowing. Tractor not been started about 2 months it doesnt want to go very well because fuel leaks back to tank about one week and one of the glowplug wont work.

I used flame torch to heat up air intake manifold and fuel filter to start it cold.
It has only one cold start plug for all cyls, so it is pretty hard to start it in winter.

I bought it 4 weeks ago and it wouldn’t start the next day a it’s still in the garage with the mechanics that haven’t a clue what’s wrong with it .
the 2.0tdci and 2.2tdci have problems with high pressure fuel pomp causing metalic shavings clogging the injectors ,engine is good but bad fuel system
@@xgimimogo9109 they ended up changing out the engine after 10 weeks they couldn’t find the problem,I gave it back and got a full refund and bought a 2019 model.

Amazing it starts at that low rpm. My 1999 TDi only starts if it turns over fast enough. So in winter troubles even with new battery 😞 What type of oil is used at this temperature? Still 10W30?

@@miliz22 and you're located in Poland? Does it have a glowplug you're waiting for after switching on? Or is that some sort of heater in the air intake, cause the engine does not have heater plugs, I thought.
@@Ernie-Tech im from estonia, it has one glowplug, it ignites fuel inside intake manifold.
When glowplugs work properly, you should check pump timing with diagnostic device, good condition TDI should start in first or even half a turn even -20c

Me too. My dad used to deliver frozen kebab meat, being a mechanical engineer from the ussr in Spain. That's life man. Loved to ride in it as a kid, even drove my first meters in one. Very sticky gas pedal though.

Just exactly what I was looking for in the Instructibles!!Those mowers equipped with a string instead of a blade are up to $500 on the internet. More power to you!! A string would be light weight, not need a counter weight, and be perfect for the suburban lawn.

gearbox is from lada 2103.
the only thing I can see as a con is you cant speed the blades differently from the driving on the mower. I plan to make some thing close only use a ride on transaxle but still a great idea

Lawn mowers have a deck for a reason, it could catch a wire. If that wire whips your leg you could be in real trouble. The wire could cut your leg really badly.
