We love key west and spend time there each year. So every now and then we look at some YT videos. Your camera is great as is the cinematography, but the high speed is annoying to the point that its difficult to watch and enjoy. Wanted to watch the other videos but opted not to. Sorry. :-(

Nicely created video. VIA Rail's "The Ocean" is always my go-to travel option going from Montreal to Halifax. I really enjoy the pace, the views, the dining car. I do miss the glass-roofed "dome" car which was removed, outside of VIA's control, a few years ago. Hopefully we'll see it again in the future. Thanks for posting.

As a native Key Wester, I’ve seen my hometown survive so many obstacles. Since 1959 up until today, February 24th, 2024, Key West is eternal. Even during the Great Depression, we native conchs barely suffered anything, we had all the seafood we could catch, we ate the native fruits and grew our own potatoes and other root starches. We stayed clean with salt water swimming and rain water barrel fresh bathes. A lot of our hygienic needs were met by mixing botanicals that were wild and plentiful. We were such a close knit community that we could easily barter and share with our friends and neighbors. We did not go without decent clothes or shoes because we would trade goods for other goods or repair work. Nothing closed as far as barber shops and other stores as we would trade and barter goods and services. We were true survivors of everything that was imposed on us as residents of the island of Key West! I’m grateful for being born and raised on this magical island! I am thankful for this video! It brought back memories of when we were not crowded with tourists but enjoyed our neighbors and family members while the rest of the world lost their minds, we felt blessed to have our fantastic island paradise, our sunsets, our plentiful seafood and what seemed like all of the time in the world! Surely God has blessed the Florida Keys, but Key West was the Magical island that kept us healthy and happy no matter what was going on in the rest of the world! Great content that i really wanted to immerse myself in and absorb as if I were actually there but the jumpy, bouncy, snapshot rushed style, coupled with having to read quickly while everything changed far too rapidly, made it unpleasant and uncomfortable. To really be able to enjoy all that was being presented one would have to pause at each new scene edit. Something as nostalgic and stimulating as this should have been savoured but instead it felt ran through like last minute Christmas shopping at a busy mall.

I actually like this. Retro style is nice.

how did you get to visit 18 months after?

One quick comment, I believe that the current food hall was also a check in area and not a baggage claim / arrivals area based on footage I have seen on UA-cam from when the terminal was operational. My understanding is where the ballroom is now is where the old baggage claim was which is on the other side of the building. I think the intent was 1 check in side was domestic and the other international at some point. As the years went on TWA expanded to Terminal 6 and then this terminal 5 building was for international flights.
