This is really stupid. The asteroid would cost $10 trillion and take 50 years, at least. The "cable" would take materials that don't exist, and cost $10 trillion. And then the actual "building" would cost $30 trillion and take 50 years. And it would be destroyed by any random piece of space junk that is zooming around earth at mach 20.
