Great points buddy, and that so true about the original LoZ being “open world-esque”. I would rank Skyward lower on my replay Zelda list, it was ok IMO, and I get why they shifted. In many of the ”best of” lists that game gets left out. And in the most recent lists it toggles between OoT and BOTW as the “best game.” I will say this - I am stoked we’ve been given so many wonderful games in the series for almost 40 years. It's funny you bring up Assassin's Creed because I had a piece in there that I cut where everyone kept saying "Link can go anywhere and climb anything", and I was like we've had that for years with the AC games. That's new to LoZ, but not to gaming. Thanks for watching buddy!

@@retrospectrum when they first came out they were all pocket sized. But when they decided to make a cartoon to go along with the toys that’s when they got larger. The first sets are incredible and my favs 💛💛💛

It’s a bit on the nose isn’t it 😂 Yeah definitely check them out. Faxanadu can require some minor grind and Goonies 2 you’ll want to find a map online. Either way they’re fun games. Got any NES recommendations for me? I just picked up Crystalis and heard good things.

@@thatweekendwarrior I'm sure anything I recommend you've already played, but I'll give it a shot. A Boy and His Blob(puzzle-platforming), Duck Tales, Book of Ys I and II(but i played the DS version), Batman, Kid Icarus. A game I want to play, but haven't yet is called "Ai Senshi Nicol". I want to get a little better at Japanese before I try it. There is a youtube video about it.

Wow, The Guardian Legend - it's ben a while since I've played that one. I never owned it but rented it a lot as a kid. There's so many games that I haven't played yet that are severely underrated for the NES. Thanks for watching! 🤩
