As a one piece fan this one hits different
Grande immenso.ho avuto la gioia di sentirlo dal vivo.è sempre nel mio cuore❤❤❤❤❤😂
I have to admit Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin were great. Oscar Peterson is the absolute GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
You should have done another round with your own solo. What little you played sounded good. P.S. Why label Nica's dream when it was Girl from Impanena?
❤
<3
I'm surprised he played on an out of tune piano. Unlike him.
phenomenal!
This performance blows my mind, truly. Oscar Peterson was such a genius. It’s no wonder André Watts admired him so much. (André was a beloved friend, and I miss him. I always think of him when I listen to Oscar Peterson because André shared my love of Peterson.😢❤)
Awesome bass playing
Monstrueux !!!!
Благодарю небеса за самого лучшего джазового пианиста и возможность наслаждаться его исполнением! ❤
A true savant
The bassist deserves his flowers too 🙏🏾
Unhuman... best performance of Master Peterson ever.
He needed some congas in this song
As Christopher Walken once said: "I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell." Actually everything Ed Thigpen plays on this tune is perfect--even the cowbell. What a beat!
I don't think there's a single note wrong in the whole piece. Geniuses all three.
Master at work
Incrível....
Lots of comments on Oscar's playing, but the bass part is just killer and the recording is awesome and doesnt bury it as is often the case!!!
I honestly think listening to Oscar early in my life and hearing so many arpeggios in his playing made me better appreciate Rachmaninoff's music later in life. Oscar and Erroll Garner have to be, for me, the two most satisfying jazz pianists to listen to, even if maybe Art Tatum is technically the GOAT.
2:18 No one..... Oscar Peterson - GudiGudiGudiGudiGudi
I´ve read Miles Davis´autobiography, through and through.. there is NOT a single mention of Oscar P. I just wonder why ... when he was (miles:) better than many he played with.. only Bill Evans compares
The piano sounds just wonderful. It really brings out his incredible lightness of touch. The way the chords hang in the air. Bud Powell sounds great on bad pianos, but Peterson's luxurious sound is really made for this.
The great Oscar Peterson
Ray Charles said that he oscar was the one that came the closest to Art Tatum.
Thanks a Lot💢✌️💢👌💢✋💢👉 What a GREAT DINOSAURIOUS🦕🦕🦕🦕🐳🐳🐳🐳🦎🦎
Thank you Horace for that universal Señor Blues latin funk groove.
This surely must be a tribute to "Earls dream" by erroll garner, so much likeness in the intro come on...
I have never heard this version (or Earl's Dream which I must look up now) but came to it via video game music - a jazz cover of the Zelda Main Theme by The Consouls which was inspired (I think - I'll have to ask the band when I next see them) by the String Band take on this tune (ft Isao Suzuki with Ron Carter on bass, Roy Haynes on drums and Hank Jones on piano). A totally different feel from this but for me, equally stunning. Just incredible what great jazz musicians can do with the same tune to make it their own.
Mama mia! This is ridiculous!! I have got to wonder. What did Dizzy Gillespie say when he heard this version of his song?
Absolute class ,the best jazz pianist ever .

I completely agree.
Just a wonderful pieace of music.... Magneficent! Magnefico! Just a MAGNET! You want to listen this on repeat.
Breathtaking
The world’s greatest jazz pianist!
Agree
Ed Thigpen is playing a genius rhythm in this tune. It would not be the same without him.
Потрясающе, гениально
Beautiful !👍❤️
Superb 👌 the #piano play is on a different level WOW
No pacing just going for broke. Showing off technique.
a genius at work..my very favourite pianist of all time..2nd would be erroll garner
Holy sh*t!!! Dude can play piano...
good Lord!!!!!
❤️🙏🏼👏🏻small crowd
Preternaturally metronomic. It would not be entertaining as a MIDI file, but knowing that it's a human being is truly wondrous, as with all his works.
...and he could tickle those keys like ringin' a bell.
Peterson. That says it all!
M A S T E R ! !
I love the line at 3:36 . Just wow

My wonderful Oscar!!! Your music transports me to a world of my own! Love ya man!
this is do doubt one of the best renditions of Nica's dream I've ever heard...just unreal!
