The Barefoot Ranger
In 1884, Arthur Woody took his first breath up in the Blue Ridge range of north Georgia. Back then, mountain people like his parents lived in isolated log cabins with a patch of cultivated land hacked out of the endless forest. This was paradise . . . mostly. Arthur hated the farming part, but he loved learning the secrets of the woods and the habits of the animals with his father, Abraham.

At Lillian Smith's beautifully preserved Laurel Falls Camp for girls, we discovered the history of a Southern white woman whose courage, eloquence and prophetic vision helped end the Jim Crow culture in which she had been raised, freeing Black and white Southerners from a system that had cost Blacks their full humanity and whites their moral integrity.

Will Harris never planned to be an environmentalist. He wanted to be a farmer - more specifically, a cattleman like his father. He studied animal science at the University of Georgia, graduated in 1976, worked in agribusiness for a few years, and then came home to Bluffton in southwest Georgia, where his family had farmed since 1866. Now Harris continues a family legacy with White Oak Pastures ...

Quaker Road, a thin ribbon of concrete meandering through a green world 40 minutes south of Augusta in northern Burke County, winds past pecan groves, pastures and plowed fields. And then a few houses appear, a brick church, and across the road, perched at the edge of hundreds of acres of fields and forest, is a cluster of buildings, some of them crumbling after decades of abandonment. You have...

How big of a scion can you use to graft to a non-fruit bearing tree? Or it has to be the most 4 buds.

I was taught how to be a female at Boggs, at this school I found my lifelong desire to be an actress and I am acting still today. Boggs was extremely transformative in my life and I was able to mature there. For many years I was angry at my parents for sending me to Boggs but I s e now that they knew what I needed and sent me to Boggs to escape the dangers in the civil rights movement. My parents Rev Hosea and Mrs Juanita Williams did the best they could for me and I am eternally grateful ❤

What a wonderful documentary! All very true…One of the best experiences of my life. The Boggs Academy National Alumni Association does still exist…We provide scholarships for our descendants & have an annual All-School Reunion annually…In 2024 it will be held in N.C. Caroline Whitcomb of Augusta, recently used Boggs for her educational doctoral dissertation!

Great video. Shared it to the plant group I'm in. I planted a pear seed last year, but I now know that it's probably not going to be a pear tree, probably an apple tree from the root stock if I'm understanding how this works. There are people around me with pear trees so I'm going to see if any of them will let me have a branch.

can take a tree that is watered a lot and be planted in sand and remove it from its place on the condition that you keep long walls and you can turn it into a hole in a suitable place and for a suitable time and go down to the walls except for the bottom and be a tree standing in to move in order to land a lot and put sand and paddle well, so instead of you you will not water much you will only need For a little water, just greetings, but Omar Al-Qurashi
