20240622 V10Sport Hawaan
The last paddle - DUC to Hawaan, in my trusted #Epic #V10Sport GT. Amazing conditions with a 25 knot wind and 1.5m swell. Easily Top 5 best paddle ever, with a Top 3 time to Hawaan. Loved this game.
The boat is already in the hands of it's new owner, whom I hope gets as much pleasure from her as I did - amazing craft, as all the Epics have been for me! I'm preparing to relocate to the desert, but will look for any opportunity I can to get back to the ocean and a possible paddle again.

More stunning SA countryside to bring to an end what has been one of the best biking trips I've done. Day 1 of the R355 Rendezvous. A 4 day ride with usual suspects Neil and Craig, up the west coast, down the Cederberg mountain range, up the Tankwa Karoo, and down the west escarpment of the Cederberg. Magnificent ride with multiple mount passes and poort, both tar and gravel.

#bmwmotorrad #GSA1250 #GSA1200 #DieHel. This is the toughest ride I've done! The camera doesn't always pick up the trickiness of some of these sections, and some of the clips have been sped up in editing. This is a slow ride: 2.5hrs to do the 56km getting in. Took us 2 hrs to get out.

Nice ride, a buddy and myself did it a few years ago and had a few refreshing Maluti Beers at the Pub before going down, believe me that was exciting. 🤭
Not too much of a challange nowadays as it's got a lot easier to ride in the last two years as it's been 'smoothed' out, rocks removed and ruts filled in with the hardest parts now being the hairpin gradients. All to make it better for the tourist 'buses', shame really. 😕
Yes, I can't argue. It's still an iconic ride though and would still be tricky with rain and/or wind.
