Could have put the green line right through the mall. In Japan the green line goes straight through the Akihabara shopping complex, as a result it's the most successful retail location in the biggest city in the world. Proof that Calgary Liberal city officials don't care about a prosperous city, jobs or the bottom line.

How do you get permission to film inside the mall?

This was a wonderful mall back in the 70s and early 80s, especially at Christmas. Woodward's dedicated the entire seasonal section to the right of the main entrance to Christmas trees and decorations, and there were beautiful handmade garlands all the way down the corridor to the center court, past Woodward's Bargain Store and Purdy's. You could get a six-pack of assorted Purdy bars for $1.49. Remember the Woodward's $1.49 advertisement jingle? The mall was never the same after Woodward's closed, and then the renovation turned it into another generic, sterile, white casualty of the 1990s. I went back there a few times over the last few years, and it was heartbreaking. I am so glad to have kept photos of the bustling golden age of Market Mall.

A very cool mall that I even enjoy doing some mall walking in this mall and I remember this mall used to have a toys r us which I have gotten some toys from it before. And I remember even the same toys r us that used to be in market mall used to have game section when they would have sell phyiscal games that I remember the times I went over market mall to go check if the toys r us in market mall would have the game section since I know the other toys r us one from crossiron mills mall toys r us. And even the sunridge mall that used to have a gaming section but stop selling them which I can see in fact they stop selling physical video games since too many people Now prefer buying games digitally which I don't blame them for not selling physical video games anymore since that hurts them from selling physical video games. Which It sure shows me how physical media is dying while we sure are heading to a digital world at this point but damn this mall will always be the best mall to walk around In.

Out in the back parking lot, there used to be a the biggest movie theater in Calgary during the 70's and 80's I saw the Original Star Wars Movie, when I was 10 years old it was the first movie I had ever been to by myself!!!!!! From Calgary, Alberta, 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Great filming, I'm born and raised in Calgary grew up in the biker lifestyle been coming to North Hill mall since I was two years old!!! I owned an athletic store in Calgary for 8yrs, I know almost all the merchants at the mall and advocate for them daily, this was done beautifully, thank you soo much, from your biker friend in Calgary🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Calgarians need to go check out the New Horizon Mall right across from Crossiron Mills in Balzac . It's the new hip happening mall with the unique items for sale that you won't find at your typical big box stores in other malls. The stores at New Horizon Mall are staffed by local vendors and business people who really know the products and services customers in the community need and want. So come by today ! "EH" you won't be sorry you did !

People need to go and check out New Horizon mall across the street from Crossiron Mills , That's the new hip happening place to shop for those unique gifts that you can't find at those big box stores at Crossiron. Back when I would remember when this mall used to be full of life back when there was so many people in that mall well mostly teens though. That would go to this mall to go in the food court to eat for their lunch and would just hangout and talk and I would remember there used to be a Security guard at the mall just keep an eye on the teens and other people and even at 0:29 was the times I would remember when there used to be a co-op here. And even the times I would have sit at that bench and use their wifi just to watch some tik tok or use twitter but since 2023 this mall now is so dead looking Now ever since they ended up closing their food court since I got told how they ended up having to close it due to having problems with the teens coming to this mall. Just to hangout in the food court which they should know that is what teens will do though lol.. teens would always would just hangout in places and just talk to each other And now that bench at 0:29 has a homeless woman there and I even have see that homeless woman throwing a fit in the mall when I just got in the small mall for a visit. Like damn it is such a shame I couldn't sit over at the bench anymore since the area where the mall is ended up having a homeless woman there and I also did see one Homeless person at the doorway just sleeping which most of the times you can't even tell if that homeless person is either sleeping or not even alive anymore though. Which this mall doesn't even have a Security guard anymore which makes me wonder what happen to having one? and I hear how they banned the main shoppers From this mall while they don't banned the homeless people that come in this mall like damn it is such a shame to see a mall like this one fallen so hard..

If they built within Chinook mall where Nordstrom was, then their idea would be extremely successful, but competing as a completely separate mall next to the biggest mall in Calgary Crossiron was a bad idea. I do like that’s it’s getting better, and sky castle is a huge hit so far.
