I bet being so big and God gifted coupled with the immense expectations of this guy, he probably couldn't show when he was in pain very often, it had to be some serious shit like a big time surgery to see this dude in pain. He was prideful and had a massive ego it actually made him shoot free throws worse. The season he averaged 50 he made a lot more free throws than he normally did, and specifically the 100pt game he made 28-32 from ft. He was shooting them better granny style like Rick Barry, and was so strong he had to shoot fts with his fingertips only the regular way. The media and specifically Bill Russell got wind of his granny style shot and made fun of him for it, and he made it a challenge from then on to master the normal way. But he was not a normal dude, and his ego really got in the way of him achieving even greater success. But ya he also didnt have the best teammates and coaches most of the time.

Only player ever to get a quintuple double. I can't even do that on rookie in 2k with a created player. It's unofficial cause blocks and steals weren't counted back then, but a very famous journalist counted the blocks and steals for every game back then and had Wilt getting 20+ blocks on all good number of occasions throughout his career. His rebounding is unbreakable because there were more missed shots back then, but then you have to realize that the game was the fastest pace ever in that era and Wilt was averaging 48 minutes a game. Players were also very restricted on what they could do, dribbling was way stricter and defense was favored, especially in the post. Wilt also had real zone defense played on him come playoff time almost every year, he didn't have the greatest shooters so teams would double and triple him before he even got the ball and force him to pass out to shooters, and they were really abusing him consistently with no cameras around, the media going against him, and no flagrant foul rule. He was punished every game and was still otherworldly, not only athletically but was also one of the most skilled centers ever. The dude was an absolute stud that would have won more chips if he had better help and better coaching. Even comparing to today's players, sure the players of the past weren't as athletic overall but that's how advancements in technology and medicine goes. If anything, the durability of those guys to not get paid like they do today and play real gritty style basketball for 82 games a season (not a regular thing for players now) you have to give those guys their respect. Also the height and weight of players was around the same as it is today, and Wilt was definitely being guarded every night by centers 6'10 and taller. He wasn't even the tallest in the league for a number of years, that was Swede Halbrook at 7'4. He was just that dominant physically and skillwise, just didn't have the teammates to win and the rules of the time severely limited his true athletic capabilities. Based on what we see in this video, imagine if Wilt was allowed to dribble up the court, dribble the side of the ball and be way more creative, and be able to run full speed like Giannis on breakaway rims, or use his arms and strength in the post like Shaq did. He was already just as skilled in the paint as Hakeem ever was, Hakeem just gets the benefit of the doubt cause there is more footage of him. Like I say in a lot of things, the greatest time to live as an American had to have been being born in the 50s and seeing the 60-90s not only economically but some of the greatest players in sports history, especially football and basketball. I would have loved to watch Babe Ruth play too, not during the Great Depression tho lol

Nah give us more vc per game, period. They should give us enough vc to make a build every season if we play enough then they would lose money but people would be a lot happier everyone got a few builds and they builds get better in time

2k is the only game where you can grind for 1 week and get a maxed out character ftp and have everyone complain about it

So i just tested it today with my new build and i found out that the fiba rewards and the media day quest (Donna) are still there, but the catch is, you have to finish the 3 fiba games. If you sim’d out the 3 fiba games you won’t get the 25k vc reward and donna quest won’t appear. Note: I’ve played all the key games (did not fouled out) idk if they still give out 25k vc to those who fouled out the entire season. Also i only get to have the Donna quest on the following season after the fiba tournament, the quest did not appeared on the first 2 seasons, i have no idea how to trigger it, maybe play the last game before your season or playoff run ends so that they won’t detect that you sim’d it.

Quickest way to get VC without buying it, is to play the dynasty games and get 3 stars, 1500 VC every time, I agree with what the one dude on here commented, kind of better off paying the money instead of wasting 8 hrs…2k figured that out a long time ago
