I know this was a year ago but the 99 malibu brake booster fits just have to shorten the shaft if you wanted a booster.

Looks great. I used a hydraulic brake booster off of a early 2000's 3/4 suburban instead to make it fit so I could maintain my power brakes. Might be worth looking into.

Jake's performance out of Texas built my 4l80 transmission with Trans brake to go behind my 427ci SBC procharged 1,000-1,100 horsepower in my 92 s10 I also have a 94SS s10 going to LSX 427ci procharged 1,548 horsepower Jake's performance will build my 4l80 transmission with Trans brake and lock up converter manual valve body like the one I already have no computer needed that way.

This is a really good video man. My grandfather just recently gave me his 2001 S-10 and I’m just starting the process of LS swapping it.

OK so you mentioned the rear axle. What do you mean by people by two passenger side axles??

I did the same LS swap but I dropped it in a 1990 Toyota pickup. Runs awesome. Nice build you have there.

I’m gonna bite the bullet and LS swap my patina, lowered 99 S15 this year… I’ve got an 03 Silverado shit box I’m gonna rob the 5.3 out of then scrap it. Probably run a BTR TruckNorris cam in it and some headers.

Gonna go with a 4L60 tranny going from a shot 4 banger to a V8 finally ! Had my truck for nearly 25 yrs bought it brand new from family members LiL 4 cylinder got almost 300000 before it died

I just want to go all stock right now and get it in and running

I’m fixing to start this project in my 99 s10 zq8 stepside just went to look at a LS 5.3 this morning so got a long way to go hopefully get it running by summer

clean s10, Im building up my GMT800 Escalade AWD 6.0, its on a open pipe mid dump setup rn, I got some dynamax race bullets coming, getting a TD piping done in about a month or so, its loud now but its bouta be aggresively more rowdy soon. cant wait for my nieghbors to "love" me even more LOL... V8's AKA sound of pure unrestricted freedom! American way

Lookin good bro. I heard you can get a smaller brake booster from a chevy Caprice for those to give you better clearance for your coils.

I saw in another ls swap video and they used a malibus brake booster, which not only is smaller but bolted up with no modifications

You dont have to go to a manual brake booster.

hey brother what year is that s10.? I just got a 1999 single cab short bed . that was origin. a 4 cylinder. what did you have to do to make it fit the engine bay? and if you have any links on stuff if you could slide them my way if you Dont mind. thank you for all the info it was so helpful

You can’t keep the stock fuel pump

I have a 01 s10 2.2l with the stock 5 speed trans I’m wondering if I can use the same trans with a 5.3? Or would I have to rebuild the 5 speed trans or would I have to get a bigger trans?

I don't think the hood will fix but we will see seem like the motor is to High and i put the ls swap motor mounts in it

Hi, just caught your video, posted on my 63 birthday! Mine is a '96 paint smoke gray rustoleum -sprayed with gun- why your got my attention. Mine 5 speed nv3500 4x4. I'm looking for an LS, 5.3 would work. Not looking to race, and I already have a 2" body lift. The body just 2" off the frame makes a difference. I've been building cars for 45 years and have done a 350 into a 2000 Blazer zr. It was a bitch. And not worth it. But LS seems great. Thanks, appreciate the info.
