that was an event organized for and by NUKE fans, i. e. the ones who had been supporting ATWT for years and were totally disrespected and treated like crap by the terrible new head writer who threw nuke under the bus only to pimp his best buddy, dr. nobody. so many people stopped watching atwt when dr. nobody was put on and all the facts, characters and history totally distorted. they drove hundreds of thousands of yearslong fans away, no wonder the ratings went lower and lower.

@CuteEmoGirls24 Jake did spend some time living in London, working, studying, etc. Perhaps his experience over there allowed him to gain experience in speaking in French.

Van stumbling through the French IS pretty hilarious! And being able to perform these lines in front of a live audience must have been a real buzz for them... enjoying the audience's laughter & reactions, etc. Actors love audience reactions; makes it all so much more enjoyable.
