Kool vid bro , awesome seeing the trusty motor manual decks . They are getting few and far between now with most crews going mechanised. Keep up the good work and stay safe ..
Kia ora Bruss, not to many can cut on top of logs let alone spaced out logs on bearers, which i suppose is for the green horn camera man lol, Meke mahi anyway bruva, hope you guys are Mechanised Processing by now... I enjoyed the video mahimaN
Hes a machine that skiddy,i would hope ole mate doing the filming rips into a bit, idsay he will have to or he go down the road no one gets carried in logging,i seen guys out on the road waiting just get driven past!
They paint it to stop mold etc if the logs sit on the wharf for long periods of time or on boat etc. We cut whole decks at a time up to 20+ logs depending on your skid size, once all the logs are measured and marked, they are trimmed and cut, then stencil and date stamp and crew details and stacked ready for load out on to trucks 🌿
You guys must like getting firewood, they would go apeshit here in the UK cutting of good mill wood from the ends like that, this type of logging went out long ago over here, mostly all harvesters now, but it’s good to see you know the right brand of chainsaws.
im a logger to i still got a lot to learn and i jus learned some cuts waching this video farout brother your the top man iv seen doing motor manual bro awesome mahi
hadz Smith intelligent reply. Wasn't talking about the logmaker. Was commenting about the guy taking the video standing on the log stacks. See we lost another bushman yesterday working near Gisborne. Second in just over a month. No idea what you do for a job, however if it's in the bush start using your brain and think about the hazards and the hurt you would leave behind if you got killed. Look up and live
What is this timber used for to make ? Great to watch so thanks for sharing also where is it as I don't know much of NZ but met many Kiwi Loggers here in Oz that left because of the weather there and how dangerous it can get in bad weather ?
Attitude Adjuster - NZ pine is basically sent to China and used as boxing in the construction industry etc, it's actually low quality timber. Dunno about the weather, can imagine if its wet then all these steep areas are very hard to log, all the flat areas are for Dairy and beef.
DAAMM all the memories coming back, those were goodtimes being on the skids cutting up, respect for that fulla, reminds me of my oldman, awesome vid cuz, lucky i wasnt there i wud have grabbed a saw and helped him, churrbo
