Yes we have woodcock in the UK in winter, more than we have in the summer as they arrive from Scandinavia and Russia

Beautiful creatures in there natural habitat. They were introduced into New Zealand by farmers over a hundred years ago to help control introduced rabbits! They have since devastate our native biodiversity and are one of the reasons why New Zealand leads the world in threatened bird species. Perfectly designed by nature to do there job. We are experiencing a big stoat breading season that means devastation for our native birds in particular.
We use the DOC traps from New Zealand to control them.
