My attempt at describing what it is like to ride with Tech-Air Off-Road airbag vest in the heat around town. No shopping! It appears these wicking type shirts work pretty good paired with proper air flow, not too much (body can’t keep up with evaporation), and of course not too little. GE Profile Clearview Window A/C Noisy Fan-Fix
Переглядів 6316 місяців тому
GE Profile Clearview window unit makes noise when condensate water goes through condenser fan to make it more efficient, otherwise this unit is very quiet. This fixes only how often it is noisy. Every time the condensate pump moves water to the condenser it overwhelms the rag temporally. I love this unit overall, so far.

    I had a 2008 Kawasaki Nomad 1600 with rear floorboards that I used the same way you use the peg on the Kymco. Kept that bike for 12 years until it just got too heavy for me, so I downsized to a Versys X300 with aspirations to do the TAT. But after 11k miles of riding on a seat like a board I'm looking for something that's comfortable, easy to handle, and will be good for the next dozen years or more. Thinking of a used maxi scooter. Originally wanted a used Burgman 650, but I don't like the idea of buying a discontinued bike. I already own a Kymco Spade (150cc), so know the brand is good. Your video may make me look into the used 550 market. Thank you for sharing 😊

      I have never ridden a burgman, only sat on one. Someone in comments should jump in. My biggest issue with any scooter is sitting position due to back issues. Traditional motorcycle position is better for me.

    How does the mattress stay on the bed frame. Is this still holding up ok?

    • @omodd
      @omodd 9 днів тому

      Yes, every few days I have to re-adjust bed on frame. I also rotate mattress every week to prevent soft spots. I am using cool gel 10” mattress from Amazon. It is thick and does not conform to frame very well, but conforms enough with my weight at 230lbs for a comfortable night sleep. The adj frame is so much better than using wedge pillows, which move around. Hope this helps.

The protection is not even close but if I’m just going to be hot, sweaty and uncomfortable the entire time, I’ll just give up riding.

    Thank you for this detailed guidelines, I follow the plan to buy one. I think every Maxi Scooter have their own plus and minus facts, the AK is in Italy 🇮🇹, Greece 🇬🇷 and France 🇫🇷 a popular way to drive. Honda's 750 scooters with dual Clutch is very nice to but they forgot some comfort features. Interesting is for me the point to adjusting the drive belt 🤔, it is an outstanding thing for me and I'm not shure to invest in a setting tool for 600 $, in total I like the AK and will organise a testing ride 😀

    Interesting video. We have some similarities. I'm 6'2" and 205 lbs but need to lose weight. I'd like to get the XL tech-air off-road. I'm 90% off road rider. Based on the size guide, I'm right on the edge of XL and 2XL. Helite is now selling fork sensors in the USA for the e-Turtle. This is pretty recent. You might like that more for the fit range since the e-Turtle is a vest only with quite a lot of adjustability. I own the Helite Turtle (tethered) but it's not suitable for off-road, enduro style riding which is mainly what I do.

Also my head was completely locked in, barely able to move it. Airbags are the future and im not riding without one. Also looking at the one you got for offroad and trail riding. Good video.
