Top tip..do NOT use silicone! It drys and fails! Plumbers mate putty ..all day long 😊
We have never had any silicone fail. This was either boss white or plumbers mate that it got put in with and failed causing the leak.

Did u prime the porcelain mate , I know a few people who miss this out but it’s the most important part of the job
Yes. We use a primer in a pump spray. It comes from the place we get our porcelain it’s great. They got sprayed out the front the day before. So they were ready to go.

Hi Jake fortunately the ground on this job was rock solid, When discussing with the customer and the properties being student housing/HMO's he opted for thicker concrete underneath the slabs instead of type 1 or crushed concrete. The paths leading up to the rear access doors were laid over concrete paths also. We have had no issues and been praised for the solidness of it all the slab areas at the back of the garden are actually around 75mm+ of sharp sand and cement mix. Thanks for your comment DPSGPM Ltd
Excellent video, can’t believe it only took you 2 days to complete. I’ve started work on my patio but wanted to know if it’s possible to use mortar directly over sharp sand which has around 100mm of hardcore underneath and also what’s the minimum amount of mortar I can use.
sorry for the late reply i would compact the sharp sand first then use a minimum of40-50mm of a sharp sand and cement mix
