turbolino sx That is great to hear, my setup will be similar. My gt2871r is a .86 though. Hopefully I can be right around the power yours is pushing. Right now I am just trying to decide between the acl, clevite, or oem bearings. I want longetivity and keep reading the race bearings don't usually last as long as oem. Have yours hiven you any problems?

The fact of the matter is this you guys. It's a vette bone stock or not the vette is a highly respected muscle car. The simple fact that a 20 year old stock nissan was able to keep up let alone beat him is respectable. Don't bash the lil import give the man some credit for doing something most cars struggle to do STOCK. And when I mean stock sr engines come stock with small to mid size turbos.

I think the point here shouldn't be focused on the fact the SX beat the vette. The time of 12.9 @ 115 is indeed very fast for a 240SX (or any car for that matter!), however 12.9 is on the slow side for a stock C6 vette. My C6 ls3 best time is 12.3 @ 117 bone stock including stock tires and even the original factory air filter. Obviously the vette here missed a gear or something because 12.9 is more camaro territory (or older vette neighbourhood)... Great run for the 240 though, im a fan, they are awesome cars when they are built!

Well considering that 240 stock cost about the price o a new set of wheels for that vette....an all built is probably still half tha of the vette....very impressive.
Yes, a stock 15-20 year old nissan would cost a lot less to purchase VS a stock 5-10 year old vette (vettes dont depreciate as much either), but my point is that I still wouldn't suspect it would be 'cheap' to make a 240sx run in the 12 sec. club. Would you know how much that would cost??? I would be curious to know..
Spirited Driver S13 roller - $1k, SR20 full swap - $4K, bigger turbo w/ ems and tune $3k, decent suspension - $1k......all in $9k for a 12 sec 240sx
Figured as much.. it sure wouldn't be me dumping 10k into a car of such low value, but I might consider buying something like that already complete and letting the first guy take the loss
People take more factors into account than resale value when determining what vehicle they want to modify..
