I have done everything, absolutely everything. I have an alcatel and the app locates my hearing aids but they do not want to pair. 😢.

Thank you for this. My diagnosis lists significant deficits in temporal processing and referenced the resolution in particular, and whilst I understand the condition as a whole, there wasn't really an explanation for how each part plays its role. This will be helpful for explaining to people.

Would the number of channels make a difference for APD users accessing a LGHA in the same way it's said that the more channels the better for standard HA users? Additionally, can any Audiologist trained in HA programming assist with these, or would we need to seek someone specifically trained in APD? Many thanks in advance and appreciate the helpful video

Had this condition (APD) all my life, people think im deaf - i know im not deaf, i can hear just fine, i just cant hear what the fuck people are saying when there is background noise , and my brain does not work to discriminate the sound... (sorry for the language, this condition is frustrating). Low gain hearing aid, hmm.

Jeepers, this is so basic….and so slow! Whilst I love this charger, it has a few niggles for me. What is not mentioned here - or anywhere else on the web that I can find, is that you cannot leave your hearing aids in this case whilst it is not charging unless you turn them off - they will lose their charge and, if you close the lid, they will squeal. So, if you want to use this charger as a carry case for your hearing aids, eg when going on out of the house, you need to turn your hearing aids off manually….and then turn them on manually when you want to use them again. So annoying that they don’t automatically turn go into standby when disconnected from the power supply.

I was wondering if it would be damaging to insert opposite ear wires? I have a right hearing aid that should be on the left. Can I attach a left tube on it?

I'd say start with NHS. It takes a few month to get used to hearing aids. They are free and you get a free supply of batteries. Once you have adapted to them ,THEN decide if you need or want to pay for extras.

I have APD and I’m currently choosing between hearing aids, would you make any recommendations on which hearing aids would be best for APD?

It is actually the first time to experience such disturbances in my ear that I was confuse and don’t know what to do. I did went to hospital and they found out that i was infected by Tinnitus causing me lots of discomfort. I was told that there isn’t a cure, I was really sad and don’t know what to do till a friend of mine introduce me to DR.MADIDA herbal supplements she found on UA-cam which I did used for weeks and to my greatest surprise the Tinnitus condition I use to have was gone in less than a month.
