i think there’s two interpretations to this song for me. it’s either that a soldier is returning home to their loved one or a soldier dying and being reunited with their loved ones in the afterlife. i think the second interpretation works well cause of the lines “i reach towards the sky i’ve said my goodbyes, my heart’s always with you now” and “the stars in the night, they lend their light, to bring me closer to heaven with you”

As an 8 yr Army vet it is easier for some to get back to civilian life then others. But even here we all still look out for eachother. No matter the branch we were n are all brothers.

I believe he was inspired by Alice In Chains, so that's why he has somewhat of a grunge sound.

It is so much darker, to this day this is his last live performance, and he did suffer a panic attack that we get to see live. That mic drop was so far final. Half of each line is missing near the end and he improvised the screams to cover it up. To my knowledge, so far, he never said anything to a large group or performed ever again after that microphone hit the ground.

They do both very successfully. Most of them have bigger families. Good wives that hold down the fort while the man is away at work. He will have a couple sons four girls and they will work on the farm as they are raised. And that's the way you implement business and Country both. I would strongly suggest not listening to Megadeth remasters. The originals sound far better-and are, thankfully, still available for download on UA-cam. One must only add ‘original master’ to the band and song name when searching UA-cam. I don’t understand why anyone ever stamped their approval on those remastered albums.

I was raised on country music and personally today’s country music compared to the 60-90s really suck. There’s still some good country music floating around out there but mostly by the same singers from those times that’s still singing. It’s rare to come across a new country singer in today’s times that compares to back then. Funny thing is even though I was raised on country music I’m being pulled into the 60-80s rock/pop/jazz now. Want to hear something new.
