im from germany and at like lokal comps in my area its not even that competetive and almost evry time the top 75% of round two advance to the finals. so it looks like thats a little difference here in europe. ps i like your video

Broo, i have only gone to one comp about 3-4 months ago(i am going to me second one in two weeks😁) and the exact same thing happened to me in 5x5. I was trash at it and probably averaged around 2:45 and had a pb single of like 2:30. And at the comp I got a 2:20 single and a 2:23 average. And all of those solves felt like I did worse than usual. The funny thing is that after the colp i thought things turned for me and 5x5 and decided to do a solve. And got a…………..2:54😂. I now average around 2:10. Also, i dont know if you remember, but i commented on your sq-1 vid and said that i was gonna do the challenge. I ended up getting a 26 single( on like day 3 or 4😂). And ended with a 42 second average. But my cube shape sucks, an my whole solve depends on it

If you know how to solve a 3x3 the gear cube can be a really fun twist to 3x3 fashion no pun intended but if an edge is flipped just turn in one direction a bunch its a fun twist to the 3x3 highly recommend it

As i mentioned in another comment, i will be doing this challenge and will be updating my progress on this comment. Today is day 1: i tried figuring out on my own, i was 2 pieces off from cube shape and after getting that result a few times i decided to get some clues on a tutorial. Watched like 15 seconds of tingman's video and finally got it (also manage to get the "oll" part on my own) Day 3: not much free time, i need to learn edge orientation and permutation algs. I did my first timed solved (reading the algs ofc), was 6:4x Day 5 (i think): finally some free time. I now know some algs and can solve it without looking at the alg sheet. My avg is around 1:30, got a sub1 this morning too. I'm going to look into more algs to solve CP/EP in both sides at the same time since i tend to change faces a lot. Day 7 (Final day): My avg is around 50 seconds, still have to learn EO and EO algs for both sides. My goal Will be to get sub30 in my next competition (14 dec)
